Little update on the above... Been out for a good run today.. Some motorway miles at a decent speed, then some a and b road twisties... Car full of family and a full tank of fuel, and averaged 34 mpg.

We had this with our old tourer, but never got to the bottom of it - pulling the glass inwards then using the switch worked, so I felt that it was something up with the regulator. If it does turn out to be dirty channels, After cleaning the channels (try using wd40 or similar with a clean rag...

Thanks freddo. Apart from needing the boot size (and a roof box) for when we go camping, I do prefer the look of the 7th gen, especially with the type s kit.

I know this is an old thread, but I installed the x-car link into our tourer (2.0 exec) over christmas and it works a treat. Went for the option with Ipod and bluetooth. The fitting was relatively straightforward - the trickiest part was prying the fascia away from the dash below the radio...

I've been down the ebay LED sidelight route on my civic and they weren't great, but then I got some Cree LED ones and there's a massive difference, both in looks (not too blue) and light projection. will see if I've got any before and after pics...

hi, this is exactly what our tailgate does - did this sort the problem?
