Brake pedal goes to floor after disc/pad swap

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks saj and everyone. I bled it myself 3 times and it was still spongey. In the end I took it to my local garage and they vacuum bled it for £42. It was better but not by much. A few days of driving and it seemed to stiffen up, its just odd that it took a few days to...

Brake pedal goes to floor after disc/pad swap

Good day to you all :) Ive just finished bleeding the brakes on every corner and although noticably better it has not solved the problem. Brake pedal pressure seems to be fine until I start the engine then the pedal sinks almost to the floor. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot a faulty slave...

Brake pedal goes to floor after disc/pad swap

Thanks but I did try this. I had to top up about 20ml max. Its worth mentioning I did split the caliper in two when putting in the new pads. It had two sliders that popped out easily I then popped the pads in and reassembled. Im wondering if this may of introduced air into the system? I shall...

Brake pedal goes to floor after disc/pad swap

I forgot to mention all replacement parts were from euro car parts and not honda. Pagid pads and eicher discs IIRC.

Brake pedal goes to floor after disc/pad swap

I swapped out the discs and pads on the accord earlier and everything went well till id finished and the pedal goes to the floor. I left the brake fluid cap off for the duration of the job and had to push the piston in the caliper back a fair way using a G clamp. Im guessing its a slave or...

Are the rear ABS sensors the same part number?

The 6.99 ebay sensor worked a treat. I also reused the metal bracket off the old sensor. I drilled it out and vacuumed out the crud. The ABS light was still on but I cleared the code with the scanner then went for a drive and all is fine. Hopefully this helps someone else by proving the sensors...

Are the rear ABS sensors the same part number?

Brilliant, thanks for clearing that up Fahad. The sensor arrived today and I cant see why it would be different either side. I have pryed off the metal bracket which caused no damage to the cable. Can someone jog my memory is the abs sensor removal/replacement just wheel off, undo bolt that...

Are the rear ABS sensors the same part number?

Maybe I can use the bracket off the old sensor cable if it comes to it. Last year I swapped out the rear left abs sensor and wheel bearing in order to pass the mot which worked fine. When we had the tyres changed the abs light seems to have come back on. I ***umed it was the rear left that id...

Are the rear ABS sensors the same part number?

Oh right thanks for clearing that up for me :) Seems like the listing is wrong then for the rear right sensor. I'll take a punt on buying the rear left one and fitting it to the rear right.

Are the rear ABS sensors the same part number?

Hello all, I need to replace an abs sensor on the rear right side of our accord. Are both rear sensors the same part i.e. interchangable? Here are the links to some abs sensors on ebay. It appears the rear right sensor is twice the price which got me wondering. If anything would of only thought...

Thanks Salim for the reply. I shall give that a go. I have some switch cleaner somewhere I used to use for stereo mixers so I wonder if that would work.

instrument panel/cluster light going on or off when going over bumps?

At the moment I have the light on the instument cluster turned up to full brightness. When I go over a bump it goes dimmed then comes back on bright when I go over another bump. Can anyone tell me what this could be? It doesnt affect the car really but if its a cheap easy fix I may aswell look...

Any tips on replacing sidelight bulbs?

I managed to find a bolt either side that can also be undone with a cross head screwdriver. I undid this then popped out the clip above the bolt which broke once side. The previous owner had replaced the passenger side one with a screw. I think I have some universal clips around somewhere but...

Any tips on replacing sidelight bulbs?

I ordered some LED sidelight bulbs for the accord. I had a quick look and it seems tight on the drivers side as the PS bottle and windscreen washer bottle are in the way. Has anyone got any tips to save me scraping the skin off my hands? I know some cars require you to remove the bumper or...
