Thank you. The key vertical did the job and I had already primed with wd40 two days ago. Came apart perfectly. And fits the new car width without adjustment.
Thank you Bounder. Amazing. Aguri! I couldn't figure that out from the lettering.
I will try the procedure you suggest in the morning.
I presume that the rail comes off, but the clamp to the roof bars remains, which are then clamped with the hex.
I have Mk 8 Accord.
Any ideas how to open and remove roof rack. The key works and turns ok. But can't get to open. I have sprayed wd40. Don't want to force. Ahy ideas which are the moving parts.
Only half a name of manufacturer. See pix
I am hoping so, though the dreaded DMF could be possibly causing the problem as identified by Nath above Though it is only reverse, particularly when I load it up hill reversing. So far forward changes seem smooth enough.
I don't believe so, though it was Stage 1 tuned in 2016 before my ownership, which I believe can add to stress on the clutch.
Still feeling that it is engine/gearbox movement rather than the clutch itself.
My new (to me, 126k) 2009 2.2 Tourer is clunky when reversing uphill. I guess it must be the engine /gearbox mounts?
Any idea of difficulty and cost or replacing?
Everything is frozen. The touch screen and all the wheels, ups and downs and sideways, knobs and buttons.
What I am asking is how to open up the dashboard and pull out the screen to check the wiring connections to the ECU behind.
Any suggestions or YouTube videos?
Screen does not allow any touch access. And the external cursor and navigation controls and all the buttons dont react. It is frozen apart from the switch to manual climate screen.
The touchscreen on my 2006 estate has a warning message that will not clear (see screenshot).
It runs through some sort of engine testing when the engine starts, but when all the boxes change from red to green if freezes and just stays there. There are buttons for stopping, but nothing works...
2006 Diesel Tourer
I have Power Tailgate Fault which requires battery reconnection every week or so (no idea where the fault is).
Previously the dashboard clock automatically reset itself, I presume via the GPS maps.
Now the clock no longer updates and I have tried every way to adjust it...
