Hi guys, so today I was driving home and it was raining. As I put the window down to get out of the car park the window went all the way down than then started making a rattling noise from the motor. I pressed both up and down but the motor just makes a noise without actually moving the glass...

maybe but its the switch not working sometimes that wouldnt be explained by that. possibly i have more than one issue but I hope not. are there instructions on how to get the door panel off anywhere on here? I had a look but cant find anything.

So, I have had this problem for a while now and it is getting slowly worse. the electric window on the drivers door raises up very slowly and sometimes it gives up and goes back down. It also sometimes ignores the fact that I have pressed the switch and doesnt respone at all. Any ideas what...

The piston moves really nicely when using the wingback tool do not sure if that's the issue. I'll post again after adjusting the cable to let you all know.

Awesome! thanks guys! I will have a crack at this tonight then. One more thing to ask i suppose is what could make one calliper apply pressure and the other not? Is there something that adjusts the load when the handbrake is applied? Also does the 7th gen have 2 ways of applying the brakes...

Hi mate, The noise from my DMF was a low knocking noise and it was a single knock everytime. when it was taken out of the car it had a horrible amount of play in the thing and that was causing the knocking. The other comment about checking the brakes is a valid point I had a loose calliper...

its a saloon so no drums :) I am now thinking it isnt the caliper as the brakes were making a noise when i pressed them while driving. So I think it could be related to the cable? how easy is it to adjust the handbrake cable on the 7th gen accord?

Nope no fluid leaks that i can see. Bleed the brakes? How do i do that? If it is simple I will probably give it a go myself. Cheers,

Hi Guys, After changing the discs and pads on my 7th gen this weekend I have a problem. My Uncle was trying to wind back the piston uising the wrong tool (LH wind) and now the calliper seems to be dead. It doesnt apply any pressure onto the disc now so I think it is in need of changing. Does...

Hi Max, the DMF is the dual mass flywheel and it is an expensive bit of kit to replace if it goes. I sourced the part myself and got Honda to fit it, that was the cheapest way. Do you have similar problems?

Why do you reckon Brett? Do you think they will suit the 7th gen?

Hi Guys, Does anyone know if the Civic 2006-11 type S alloys would fit the accord 7th gen? I am thinking of getting some but would love it if anyone has a pic of them on a 7th gen. Cheers, Lee

Yessssssssssssssssssssss! did it! I had to remove the hub to get all the bits out that fell into it but it was worth it. The lights didnt go off immediately but after a short drive down the driveway they went out. Thanks for the advice and help guys, this forum is a life saver. :D

If it goes properly wrong I can always remove the hub i spose...I just hope it doesnt come to that ;)
