Hide the cable where possible and plug it in to the cigarette lighter. That's what I do. I've used one ever since I was very nearly the victim of an obvious "cash for crash" driver on the M23. He drove on to the motorway from a slip road and jammed on his brakes for no apparent reason.

Do a lot of short journeys myself but have not had any DPF problems.I put it down to only using low saps engine oil and v power diesel.

Don't use a sponge. It will damage the paintwork. Use a good quality lambswool mitt.

Agree with the bit about the reflection of the dash.

I live ,and drive, in the same area and don't have this problem.

Had both sets of rear pads and discs changed free of charge under warranty after the off-side started to rub.
