You can fit 5x112 alloys using wobble nuts but i personally would not use them as you are introducing a new point of weakness...
However.. Plenty of Accords running around with AMG alloys which im sure are 5x112 so others are more than willing to take the risk.
Yes just make sure it is repaired correctly by someone with a history of doing them. they will usually drill a small hole at the end of the crack, then grind the crack open slightly and fill with weld.
Wow thats not very nice. It is a genuine question. The same could be said for brake upgrades like the gen6 twinpots on the gen7. its not bodging if it fits and does the same job/improves the looks/performance.
Quick search here. you can use the 300mm disks to upgrade to accord gen6 type R twin pots as seen here: http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/39-review-diy-accord-type-r-caliper-upgrade/
Or i would say its definately a caliper change from a k24 exec or type s
I would imagine it will require a carrier and/or caliper change. I am interested in this also as for some reason i can find the 300mm disks cheaper and they are bigger, so slightly more braking power.
Photobucket have lost more than they gained with this move. It is quite interesting. i mean, who came up with the idea just suddenly change the service. Some notice to each member with what would happen in say 2/3 months would have been much better and would probably have lead to more people...
I am fairly sure they are removable and should be able to be retrofitted to the new alloys.
Now, this is an educated guess as there are aftermarket versions of these systems that can be universally fitted and also the units on your original wheels are surely replaceable in case of failure.
It will have to be timed up again anyway so if the cost isnt too much then i would recommend changing it as a precautionary measure. they arent known for failing from my research but the best maintenance is preventative maintenance
Just a quick question regarding the k20a6 and k20z2 Cl7. Are the wiring looms different just in the engine bay and the Accelerator pedal or do they have further differences in the interior? Any info would be great! Thanks!
