    Valve clearances?

After sleeping on it I'm going to get a honda specialist garage that isn't miles away from me (Honda HQ in Cannock) to do it. I'm sure I could do the job but it would be a stressful one as I've not done it before and not removed the rocker cover on this car, as they quoted a very reasonable £75...

    Valve clearances?

Been having a look through my service paperwork and I can't find any evidence the valve clearances have ever been done (the service book actually says every 25k!) Here's my parts list: Rocker cover gasket (Honda 12341R40A00) Hondabond sealant (Rather expensive) adjustment tool (POWERBUILT 10MM...

Accord VIII Service Manual / Workshop Manual / ESM on Windows 11

That's a shame I've downloaded it myself and run a virus scan (Malwarebytes) and it looks ok but obviously no guarantees provided or emplied (my best legalese) From what I remember reading the DPF can be blanked and mapped out quite easily. It's buried in the engine bay but I think you can...

Accord VIII Service Manual / Workshop Manual / ESM on Windows 11

Found this in the search, link still seems to work OK Download - MEGA Select CU3/CW3 for diesel information I am sure that there will be a manual specifically for your car knocking around the internet somewhere - I think your chassis code is FK3 (but not sure specifically - whats the year of...

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

Yep standard fit for the EX trim level (I think all UK market 2.4s were) Form factor looks identical to yours but its a 6CD changer and some other different buttons etc The lower spec diesels etc all came without the screen so they're not too hard to find

Spark plugs for 09 2.4 accord

For reference, I changed the plugs in mine recently as part of a yearly service as I had no record of them ever being done, and were quite filthy when I removed one I went for Denso instead of NGK or Honda branded plugs as the price difference was quite significant but they do still have a...

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

Similar to yours, a 2.4 MK8 accord, but mine is a manual saloon and a UK delivered car. Same engine and basic underpinnings but without the nice colour/wheels/bodykit and higher ride height!

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

Let us know how you get on! It's a shame really all these modern cars have head units which integrate a lot of other buttons and functionality so it's hard to replace them. I had a Volvo V50 previously in the past which was even worse! The heater controls and audio were integrated into one and...

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

It just uses the USB for power, the audio comes out the jack side, if that makes sense

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

I reckon its worth giving that firefly unit a try, as it's supposed to have some circuitry in it that filters out the hum - I don't get any in my car but I have had that exact same situation in previous cars with cheap bluetooth adaptors from aliexpress etc. There's an app you can put on your...

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

You said you have a red/white/yellow socket in the armrest, would an adaptor like this work into the red/white? StarTech.com 6in RCA to 3.5mm Female Cable - Audio to RCA Cable - 3.5mm Female to 2x RCA Male - Aux to RCA - Stereo Audio Cable (MUFMRCA) : Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Most...

My new JDM Gen 8 Accord CW2 2.4 Type S and specifically how to upgrade the head unit.

Bit of a late reply but where did you get to with this? Reason being I have been looking at the options for my UK delivered car - not the same as yours but similar issues Wanting to avoid dubious Chinese Android head units the best I could come up with is basically converting the car back to...

    Problem resetting CU2 service indicator

Yes, it seems that way, The first owner of the car was a police force, I believe it was being driven by a police and crime commissioner in the west midlands although that's all just word of mouth! I imagine they would've disabled the reminders and kept to their own service schedule, so I...

    Problem resetting CU2 service indicator

Got a cheap clone Chinese HDS tool thing from AliExpress and after a LOT of messing around with different HDS versions I managed to get it to talk to the car Apparently under the body electrical -> gauges mode it's supposed to show options about the service indicators but I don't get them just...

    Problem resetting CU2 service indicator

Thanks both, yes sounds like I might have to wait for it to trigger. It did cross my mind that a diagnostic tool could reset it (as Fahad mentioned HDS), I've not had a need to get a cable for that yet as (touch wood) I've not had any faults/codes thrown up on the car yet! I might see if my...

    Problem resetting CU2 service indicator

Hi all I serviced my accord yesterday (2.4 manual) and I need to reset the service indicator I found instructions on this forum that say to turn the key to position 2 and then hold sel/reset, I tried this and nothing happens It's worth noting that my service indicator had not "triggered" yet...

Spare tyre woes (2010 accord saloon)

Eventually sorted this out (it became a bit of a mission) The tyre size should ideally be 145/80/R17 to match my standard wheels with 225/50/R17 tyres. I calculated that possibly a 135/80/R17 or 155/70/R17 would work but I wanted to stick to the Honda recommended size to make sure the toolkit...

Spare tyre woes (2010 accord saloon)

Spare tyre woes (2010 accord saloon)

Hi all I've just purchased a 2010 accord saloon. In the boot, a previous owner has put a full size 17" spare wheel, which in itself is not a problem, but it's too tall and it's making the boot floor not flat and losing some boot space. I am also missing the foam insert that would normally go...
