The key should open the door even if the cars battery is removed and can't see how changing the keys battery would stop you doing that :wacko: . Have you tried disconnecting the cars battery for a while and reconnecting it to see if it resets?

I agree with ScoobyDoo, 90k is below average mileage and nothing for one these engines, especially if the FSH is to be believed :) .

If the piston won't go in then they won't be able to fit the new pads to it so if they fit new pads to the other working side then you'll get uneven braking on the rears and any problems with braking is not something I'd be happy with!

If he wants to change to 205 then you need to lower the 55 to 50 to keep the same rolling radius so as not to put the speedo out :) .

Find the correct wire in the light and trace it back to where it is in the car itself.

Sounds like alternator to me. Put the headlights on and rev the engine, if the lights don't brighten then suspect alternator.

Have you checked for a broken spring?

Try spraying some WD40 on the coils and leads as you may have got some damp intrusion.
