brake fluid reservoir - accord 2006 -petrol

As the brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air, i didn't want to mess about with the seal. It's only obvious if you have done it before (which i haven't). There didn't seem any easy/obvious way of lifting the rubber seal out. As old rubber (10 years old) can will break up easily. Is that...

brake fluid reservoir - accord 2006 -petrol

All I went to top up the brake fluid on the Accord 2006 petrol Face LIft. Took the brake fluid reservoir cap off, and was expecting to see the top of the fluid in there. However, there seems to be a rubber cap/bung of some kind in there. (this is the first time i have had to remove the...

Or possibly too low tyre pressure. What pressures are you running on? Or a combination of factors as already mentioned by others.

    A suspected tale of doom!

I understand that changing the manifold SHOULDN'T affect the chains. Still think its a bit fishy thou, that 3 weeks later things goes pear shape. In my example, car goes in for a manifold change, 2 weeks later engine goes pear shape after chain fails.. Is there a pattern here or is it just...

    A suspected tale of doom!

But it is very, very strange that it happened so soon after the work was done. And it is not a one off. In my example, the work was carried out by a main dealer.

    A suspected tale of doom!

Changing manifold, wouldn't cause engine failure However, is very strange that you had this problem so soon after the work was done. when I picked the car up they said " It all went back together no problems at all". - some of these trades people can be very devious. Difficult to prove anything...

    2.4 service intervals

1 or 2 K miles isn't going to make that much difference. The 2.4 engine is pretty much bullet-proof. Will easily do 200,000 miles

Which Bulb type - Front position light (passenger side)

Managed to do the passenger side bulb from within the bonnet area. Very tight access thou. Needs about a 1/4 turn and the bulb and wire come out. Check that lights are all working before putting back together. If you can't get the hand in there, find a kid (make them earn their food....lol)...

Which Bulb type - Front position light (passenger side)

Just had a quick look form inside the bonnet. There seems to be 2 bits where the bulb might be, an upper part and a lower part. Which one house the bulb the top bit or the bottom bit? Is the bulb a HID or a standard one? Would like to replace with same one that is in there at the moment. Thanks
