    Key receiver location

Satnav doesn't make a difference. The reason I asked about the model of Accord is that some models have the ultrasonic sensors. Unlocking the doors won't be any good unless you actually disable the alarm and sensors in the first place. Again, all this is controlled via a +B tamper wire into the...

    Remote Fob?

Ah ok. Well the frequency is 433MHz so that's pretty much stuck. Internally with the board this will transmit a number of codes in a particular sequence (serials) that will be used to unlock the car. The reason for the serial number is that there were a number of revisions of the unlock fob over...

How can I test the alarm

That "bubble" is related to the climate control. It measures the intensity of the sunshine and uses this along with a cabin air intake channel (to the left of the steering wheel, it about an 3cm long vent) to calculate fan speed, etc. :)

    Remote Fob?

Yes, you did, but I was up at 5am and full of stupidity at the moment... But it is not simply a frequency and serial code as I understand it. I believe it uses a rolling code to de-activate the alarm. FWIW - the transmission frequency is 433 MHz and it's classified as a low power...

Trouble lifting driver's door window up when fully down!

Lads, you need to lubricate the guide rails of the window. Basically, the window is sticking and the window regulator is pulling the window back down as it "sees" an obstacle in the way (think fingers). Pretty common on Hondas. Personally I use Shin Etsu grease...

    Remote Fob?

The key fob only operates the alarm and central locking. It does not affect the immobilizer for which the key must be used to start the engine. If you want an additional fob, you'll need to order a transmitter and get it programmed to the car (i.e. that the car accepts the transmitter).

    Key receiver location

The receiver is behind the mirror in the paneling. The central locking is controlled by the MICU. What model of Accord is it?

How can I test the alarm

The ultrasonic sensors are only on the EX model of the Accord, so if you don't have an EX (executive) model, you don't have the sensors to set off. What specification of Accord diesel is it?

    Parking Sensor woes

Errrr... I don't believe the 7th gen came with factory fit parking sensors - only the 8th gen. Are we still talking about a 7th gen here? (i.e. 2003-2008ish) If it's 7th gen, then they are dealer fit and it's not worth fixing when you can replace with non-OEM cheap enough.

A/C button don't work on OEM SatNavi

Ah ok - sorry I misread what you had said. From what Steven has said, it does sound like the head-unit. Is there a factory reset option somewhere in the unit - you could try that?

A/C button don't work on OEM SatNavi

^^ This. If the A/C doesn't engage due to low pressure and/or relay, then the Nav buttons appear to do nothing. Not a fault with the Nav unit itself, but just how it reports it. Get the A/C unit tested.

Max loading weight - only 450 kg ?

Yeah that looks about right. Bear in mind the springs are progressive in the Accord, so the first drop is significant. Re the 450kgs, I'd actually argue that the Accord isn't a big car! If you take a look at the rear legroom, the Civic and CRV gives more space! Also, the towing limit of the...

Max loading weight - only 450 kg ?

Is it not a calculation on the average weight of a person being 80kgs? This is most commonly seen on lifts where you see something like max load 10 persons (800 kgs). Statistically speaking you will have an average load with 10 people, but 10 people is just uncomfortable. So, if the Accord can...

My auto gearbox is losing fluid?

Well if you're smelling oil being burnt, it could be burning ATF is a bearing is shot and it's heating it up. I cannot remember the flash point, but it's something like 185C or something like that, so from what you describe, (aka the smell and no leaks) something is generating a lot of...

My auto gearbox is losing fluid?

Well if the gearbox is going through fluid, then it's leaking it. The gearbox will not "burn" oil like the combustion chambers of an engine. Running low on fluid will give all sorts of issues. Bar replacing the box, you need to find that leak.

    accord oil filter seals

Duh - and not I just realized you were talking about the diesel, not a petrol. The larger O ring goes roughly in the middle.

    accord oil filter seals

The rubber seal on the filter sits between the outside groove and the inside groove. It should be a snug fit and the rib of the rubber should be away from the filter towards the engine. If it has come apart, use some engine oil to lubricate it and re-insert it into the filter. Don't re-use an...

Rocker Gasket still leaking on Accord CTDI

Anything is possible, but the rocker cover is pretty tough and I'd be looking for the simpler stuff first. Is the cover tightened sufficiently?

Rocker Gasket still leaking on Accord CTDI

Well, the rocker cover could have warped of course, but what I've found is that the torque setting as specified by Honda seems a little too low to get a tight seal. Not sure if you used a torque wrench to set this or not, but I often go tighter that suggested. Make sure you follow a consistent...
