    Front Brake Caliper Cost

You could easily source a decent second hand set but refurbishing them is a perfectly reasonable thing to do no matter how old as you're going to be replacing the bits that that really need replacing with a kit. As mentioned previously I dare say taking them apart and removing the corrosion...

    Cold starting issue 2.2 cdti

Looks smallish, between 10 and 13mm at a guess. Buy a set and find out I suppose.

    Headlight Bulbs

Exactly, I bought a LED set and they didn't fit for that reason. IF anyone has a link to set that does then please let us know.

    Headlight Bulbs

Totally agree, buy better quality and don't touch with your bare mitts. The grease from your hands will contaminate the bulb glass and as halogens run extremely hot carbonizes on the glass so they go pop. Both bulbs blowing at the same time feels like more than a coincidence but try the above...

    Cold starting issue 2.2 cdti

Sounds like glow plugs if it starts fine when warm, cranking efficiency or fueling shouldn't be affected by a warm engine. You can test the glow plugs resistance which I think should be about 1 ohm, check that though.

Jack set and space saver for tourer.

I absolutely hate travelling around with just a bottle of goo and a mini compressor so I found someone selling a 17" space saver together with a loose jack set for reasonable money. For one reason or another I only received the space saver so after ebay found in my favour I'm now looking for a...

Power Steering High Pressure Hose - Advise

Hopefully it is but it might be the actual steering rack that's blown out.

Power steering high pressure hose routing

An unclamped hose would not cause the vibration you desctibe, it's securely fixed to the steering rack via the actual metal hose. You can probably actually live without the additional clamp tbh, sounds like you have bigger problems. From an ebay listing, not that clear but you get the idea....

Pressure hose replacement on power steering pump

Those after market hoses on fleabay seem to be ok, at least no comebacks have mentioned here.

Power steering high pressure hose routing

Thats correct, you should also have with it or had taken off the old hose a metal bracket that'll wrap around and bolt it to the topside of the subframe, like a D-bush on an anti-roll bar. There is a small threaded hole on the top surface of the subframe that the hose bracket gets bolted onto...

    Type s 2.2 Idtec tuning

Dunno, your type S already has an upgraded turbo, intercooler and brakes from the standard idtec so you're probably maxed out as to what you can reasonably do. You know the wise old tuners adage, if you want a much faster car probably best to buy one.

    Type s 2.2 Idtec tuning

How big, I think the S type can be tuned to around 230bhp with EGR blanking and DPF removal. Fahad will be along shortly...

    Space saver

As this thread demonstrates there seems to be a variety of space saver sizes available for the accord from 15" to 17" but does it actually matter if there isn't a size match with the other alloys?

    Another faulty tailgate

Oh, I've given it a good squirting with WD40. Tbh it still feels sticky and that it wants to stick, what else should I try?

    Another faulty tailgate

Thought I'd have another look in a few spare minutes with my new found knowledge, unstuck the handle and hey presto all working. Many thanks.

A Massive Hi and even BIGGER plea for knowledge!!

I've been looking for fronts which are hanging on but as it isn't a MOT fail I haven't been overly concerned. If you want new you have to order them in via a Honda dealership and they'll come from Japan hence the cost. I thought about making my own or fashioning some from an existing pair which...

    Another faulty tailgate

Having read around the issue I'm pretty sure the loom is partly broken hence the partial failure which powers open and shut but doesn't completely latch and I can't open manually. It's not the fault finding and repair I'm too bothered about it's mucking about with the headliner. How easy is...

Leaking Exhaust Manifold - What are the Options? (2.2cdti)

JB Weld wouldn't tolerate the temperature, it would have to be an exhaust paste. I would try it but as you say access you need access and I don't know where they usually fail.

    Oil Pump Chain Renewal

I really don't know sorry, from what I can tell the manual recommends removing the engine and gearbox for that job If that's not an option and you're trying to gain access from underneath I'm not sure how you can do it without supporting and lowering engine with a hoist or support beam then you...
