Is it worth buying a 6th Gen

Probably a bit biased but the 6th gen is fantastic, I bought mine and planned to keep for only 2 years at the most, have had it for ~7 years now, always get tempted to buy and try something else, but the cars always puts a smile on my face and is now part of the family so find it impossible to...

Honda cars have no more problems with aftermarket parts than any other manufacturers

I buy my stuff from Mister Auto as they stock most decent brands. ECP on other hand and are hit and miss. http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/anti-roll-bar/honda-accord-vii-cl-2-0-155hp_v17126_g3229.html http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/wheel-bearing/honda-accord-vii-cl-2-0-155hp_v17126_g654.html...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

The Xantia Activa used active rollbars to stop the lean. Toyota had an even better and advanced system before hand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyXiS76Slm0

    25 yrs of Type R

I prefer FWD too, I think you can just drive them on the limit more in a forgiving way, a FWD with LSD is just as much fun as a driving experience.

The active suspensions intrigue me the most, virtually no roll, would love to expirience one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3YxqjD8Rh4 Bose, the sound company... also made a very interesting electro magnetic suspension system, it never quite catched on though...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

Not sure what the relevence of these are, interesting none the less. Not sure what your question is either particularly when you say "something more". MacPherson is type of suspension system, just like double wishbone is, or torsion bar, trailing arm, chapman strut, leaf spring, hydropneumatic...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

Uploaded a video here to demonstrate a quality of double wishbone, not sure if you can tell much from it as perspective nor quality is great. But on that road around 5 second mark you can see, there is dink on the road, if thats the right word to use, on the Accord it always stay completely...

That is irrelevant, Denso are majority owned by Toyota, they are well known for making many parts for Honda's. On this site it states KYB makes shocks and struts for Honda: https://www.kyb.com/about/facts-and-figures/

lol Freddo lets avoid slipping into flaming. I am fan of the other club, its got actual enthusiasts on there as it is an enthusiast oriented forum. Most of you guys here are more 'owners' of a model so its different, perhaps why you didn't enjoy the other forum as your not Honda enthusiasts...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

I don't think you understand how an argument works. If you make a claim the onus is on you to prove it. I stand by my statement, all Honda double wishbones are made Showa, if you can prove otherwise I will happily correct myself, this isn't a competition. You made a claim yet you don't know...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

I just did a google of kyb and renault, all it comes up is with shocks and springs. In their product portfolio for automobile, for suspensions all they have is shock absorbers. For motorcycles they the generic 'suspension' which should include different parts. Perhaps I have missed something, in...

KYB only make shock absorbers, so thats pretty easy lol. Factory shocks on the double wishboned Accord were by Showa. They are simply a partner and supplier of shock absorbers of which I am still waiting to see what models they are installed in as you said earlier... As for bushes I am not...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

Well having never owned a 7th gen I can't really comment on ownership experience, I'll be changing upper arms on one this weekend, so going to take further look at the lower arm to see what all the fuss is. The 7th and 8th gen have wishbones at the bottom, the 6th gen is more of T-arm, there...

I agree also, it is complex and its known for it, and as it ages the parts are going to become worn, mine are tired and I can feel it, 18 year old rubber bushes and all...but if you overhaul it with quality parts you should get another set of life from them, of course a lot of people wont want...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

Your conflating different things now. Double wishbone is a type of setup, it includes two arms thats the basic definition of it. How you implement and apply the system can vary in a million different ways. Honda don't advertise their cars based on the double wishbones, nor do they claim its...
