After a call my hft said that I was still in TEL mode, even when I switched my phone off. I've turned the car off - even looked it and walked away for ten mins but to no avail. Anyone had this problem? Can I reset the hft or will disconnecting the battery be the only solution?

I find the seats very comfy. I thought i did not but in fact was 'just' suffering from sciatica from something else, though i do use a seat wedge now. I have an ex diesel estate auto with all the toys except xenon (I so miss my xenons from my 16 year old Audi ... but it was a lot faster so...

I run a 2.2 idtec and rarely get more than 41 and i do lots long runs (60 miles plus) though it is an auto, so that is about 520 miles on a tank. Many other cars get better mpg but it is what it is. Check out Honest John's mpg page on the internet.

In the tourer it is in the lower load area, where a spare wheel may sit, right at the end where the rear seats are.

Crikey - sounds like a German car has really let you down at some point in your life :-) What I have written, far from being flippant, is from my own experience of ownership and may well differ from other people's opinions and experience but that's life. Some people will never buy German...

Superiority is not all in the mind, otherwise a Merc would be finished like a Ford but sold for Merc money..... or maybe you think it already is?! As for reliability, all my German cars were more reliable than my Honda so i am going by personal experience.

It cannot hold its own against any German counterparts but against the likes of Ford and Vauxhall it is comparable, if not better, certainly in terms of inside comfort.
