    Weird power steering leak

The problem is that it didn't came out of the reservoir, I think... The oil was dripping from the sub-frame structure/beam. The one where the front lower arm is connected to, but near the firewall. I have already ordered more Honda PSF to top the reservoir and then will turn the wheels with the...

    Weird power steering leak

Hi guys, Last weekend I replaced the clutch on my year 2000 1.8 Accord and something strange happened. I had no problem with the clutch job, but while doing it, I noticed a pool of oil forming on the driver side, under steering rack. I could not found where the oil was leaking or why it was...

    Hondabond vs others

I have been talking with the guys from All4Honda, and they prefer/recommend the Hondabond HT for the oil pan, its what they use. They say it is has a better heat resistance. Now I don't know what to do... I think that now I am more biased toward the Hondabond HT. One thing is for sure, there are...

    Hondabond vs others

At Tegiwa they have the HondaBond HT, with partnumber 08718-0004. With shipping costs, it will cost me about 30 Euro: http://www.tegiwaimports.com/hondabond-ht-honda-engine-gasket-sealer-sealant.html Meanwhile, the HondaBond HT has been replaced by " HONDA LIQUID GASKET/SEALANT 1216E", with...

    Hondabond vs others

Hi guys, In a few weeks I will replace the clutch of my 6th gen 1.8 Accord, and since I am there, I will replace the rear main seal. The proper way to remove the seal is to remove rear main seal housing, replace the seal and re-install the seal housing. To remove the seal housing, I have to...

    Clutch squeal...

I had the same problem a couple of years ago and I kind of got an "easy fix". I tied bungee cord on the clutch release fork, applying tension as if you were pushing the clutch pedal. In my case, this was enough to quiet the release bearing. It's there for about 4 years and it's still quit...

1999 Accord with F20B6 engine losing coolant

Yes, completely normal. Mine takes the same time, or even less, although it depends on the outside temperature.

What tyres is everyone using nowadays?

That is really good, thought they would not last that much! At the moment I am using Bridgestone Turanza T001. They have good grip, but the tire wall is too soft, it deforms too much while turning.

For the guys that are using Bridgestone Potenzas, how many miles are you able to put in them?

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

For a long time I had a similar noise, but not as pronounced as yours, which only showed up after I replaced the cam belt. At first I thought it was too tight, so I took it apart, check tension again, and everything was ok, but the noise was still there. About a a year ago, I had to replace the...

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Does the noise changes when you move the steering wheel? Have you checked the steering fluid level?

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

That can be very well the cause of the problem. Remove the power steering pump belt and check if the noise goes away. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Yes, you should be able to see it wobble at idle. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Check if your crank pulley is wobbling with the engine on. They are made of two pieces of steel joined together by a rubber. As the rubber gets old, the crank can start wobbling and making funny noises. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

    Upper ball joint replacement

I have replaced many bushings with a hammer and a few large sockets and had no problems. I guess it will be no problem using that tool. As you said, we don't suffer from UK corrosion ;-) I will probably buy the entire arm, the difference is only 25€ more for each side, if I go for Moog parts.

    Upper ball joint replacement

Hi guys, A while ago I started to get some knocking from the front suspension of my 1.8, year 2000 Accord. I replaced the anti-roll bar links and the steering outer tie rods, and the knocking is now much less than it was before. I suspect that my upper ball joints, and probably the lower ball...
