    Somebody Here ?

As has happened to a neighbour, his car in the driveway for two months whilst on a cruise. Somebody cloned the plate on a similar vehicle and went on a speeding spree three counties away.

    Somebody Here ?

I would edit the video to remove the reg no, since the car does have an MOT

    P2008 & P2004 on facelift 2.2 i-CTDi engine.

It could be a dodgy earthing point (or two). Has the car had the engine out at any time in its life, or a previous life near the sea ?

Opened my oil filter on 2 2ictdi and found something

Keep all details/receipts for the work you are doing to prevent engine failure for the insurance claim.

Opened my oil filter on 2 2ictdi and found something

Since the filter is doing its job then there is little else you could do apart from a full inspection, meaning a full stripdown. Basic tests on the aluminium flakes are unlikely to locate the item that has been chewed unless you get lucky with an endoscope

Opened my oil filter on 2 2ictdi and found something

Did the car end up on its side, engine still running ? If so one if the chains may have moved around on the tensioner guide or touched the cylinder block wall, though it is all guesswork without a direct inspection.

2012 CW3 2.2 Diesel Estate Tourer burning a lot of oil

You didn't say the turbocharger had gone. Engine almost certainly fec ked if not stopped immediately after power failure. All pipes need cleaning of metal so everything under the bonnet needs replacing, a second time.

    Full Beam stays on

What does stop the high beam ? I would suspect the steering console switch might be behind it, have you had any damp issues in the car ?

    Alternator issue?

The battery acts not only as a power source, but also as a stabiliser. When removed the alternator has nowhere to send the majority of the output and I would suspect the ECU shuts things down before expensive bits on the wiring loom get damaged through overvoltage.

2012 CW3 2.2 Diesel Estate Tourer burning a lot of oil

Then it could be advanced wear anywhere inside. You might find changing the oil again is the cheapest way of improving things, or not (£50). It will also give you a clue there are other issues if more sludge comes out.
