    Price for a fog lamp

Yeah they wont fit mate. Might be able to make them fit but it would look silly.

    What is this transmission part?

Depends where it is bud. It is either the pressure plate (new clutch will solve this), release bearing or clutch fork contact points. One contact point is inside the bellhousing but impossible to get to with the gearbox in place. The other is on the little slave cylinder situated at the front of...

    What is this transmission part?

Spot on there Andy. ;) Just to add, the linkages will be greasy from the Honda dealer servicings as its part of the maintenance schedule...Totally uneeded to be honest! The squeaking can be the slave cylinder where it contacts the fork, or it can be the pressure plate on your clutch. Common...

    Price for a fog lamp

IIRC, both the facelift and pre-facelift lamps are sealed and clipped in a similiar way to the headlights. You can split the headlights by heating up the sealer and prising them apart so you may be able to do the same with the fogs, but then you have the fun of finding a glass piece. Would just...

    coilover slip-on sleeves

Different I'm afraid. The cars above all use the same HMJ-6558 platform, which is basically a Civic EJ floorpan. The 6th gen Accord uses a HMUK-9011 platform, which is loosely based o the 5th gen albeit it with drastic changes. The only other vehicle that shares the platform is the Honda...

mot fail - rear suspention link

If the studs spinning, I put a spanner (width grinded down) onto the slot in between the nut and stud, so that when you tighten the bolt, the spanner presses against the body allowing the stud to snap...Failing that, thin nose mole grips do the same job.

mot fail - rear suspention link

Forget fussing over vice grips/blowtorch etc. The easiest way I find to change them (and I've done hundreds!) is to just get the appropriate socket with the biggest bar you can find and just snap the bolts off by tightening them. The bolt essentially snaps off the studs, meaning the drop links...

wheel choice whats your car running?

Dem 17's! Anyway bud when's your H22 swap done? It would be nice to have at least another 6G hatch with a H22! ;)

wheel choice whats your car running?

I'm on my standard SE Sport 16's, and I love 'em! Gives fantastic acceleration too with the H22.

Accord & F20B6 Vs "Other" Parts Compatability

Any F or H series manifold will fit an F20B6. However if you are getting the non-vtec F23 manifold, it may need adjusting to join onto your existing downpipe. As for fitting Civic suspension or manifolds, you will potentially cause yourself more issues. Civic suspension may fit, but the spring...

Can anyone do me a quick favour?

You are very right! My RB5 is slightly higher on the drivers side too, but I'm led to believe that was because Subarus anorak way of dealing with weight distribution. :) Either way I'll have a crack at it to feed my curiosity. I had a drive of it too and it still felt great (I forgot how well...

Can anyone do me a quick favour?

Strange...Conflicting views! I checked mine too (although that is running ATR shocks with Koni springs so pretty irrelevant) and that was dead level...Will have to investigate further tomorrow, maybe chuck on some spare springs just to see if it is a weak spring at fault. The joys of old cars!

Can anyone do me a quick favour?

Hi All, My friend just brought his 2.0i 6th gen to me and quizzed me about his suspension. He's not long had the car, but has just noticed there is a slight difference in ride height of the front end. I didn't measure it (wedged my phone in the arch :D) but there is a difference of about 5mm...

pollen filter and fuel filter replacement

I'll try and find the name, but I've been using a smoke bomb sort of product for years. I recently tried the products that you spray down the vents, but all this seems to do is create a god awful mess! Anyway, the smoke bomb type products are awesome! You start the engine and turn on the A/C to...

Part Three on my 'new Accord.

Hi John, another Irelander here - Wexford. :) I have an Accord with a 2.2 Type-R H22A7 and just wanted to pass on a tyre suggestion. I fitted 4 Falken FK-452's to my Accord last summer (205/50/16 btw) and they have been fantastic. 14k hard miles, and they are only 1/3 gone on the front and the...

    pinking

Nooo lordy do not put an engine flush in there! My old boss used to tell us to put these in the cars when doing a service...I stopped after 3 cars started knocking. In simple terms, the whole point of the stuff is to wash away carbon. Thats great, but not when it washes away carbon build up on...

    pinking

I wouldn't say it's an octane issue, more a quality issue. The lowest octane sold in the UK is 95, which is exactly what the Accord is mapped to use, which means whacking in 98 or higher will make naff all difference as far as performance. My suggestion, run the current tank dry and then put in...

The 2.3 is a VTEC so no worrys there....Pretty much identical to the F18/F20.

If fuel consumption is really not an issue, why not go for something like a Lexus LS or GS? A bag will net you a good one...They're great to drive, cheap to run and not actually that bad on fuel. Live a little! ;)
