    Mine are 225/45/18 on my 18” wheels. Is you car the type S as I’m sure the tyres are 235 on these.

    I had the same with my 8th gen and got one from euro parts for about £80. That’s if you take the old one back to them within 1 month as you get £40 carriage back

    When you say fell flat is that pedal to the floor with no resistance. If so then your clutch is probably fine and might be slave or master cylinder gone. I had this on an old vectra years ago and a new slave was needed. Gear box out on these but the Accord is accessible.

    That a breather for the battery. Normally they will come with a tube to put in and sits in the battery box. I would read up on the battery spec fitted to see if it’s advisable to do this as battery’s do release explosive vapours when in use. I’m sure the Honda OEM ones don’t have this

    With cliff on this go for a 2.4. Also the 8th gen don’t come into the higher tax bracket like the facelift 7th gen. It’s was around £300 last year for my car.

    Silly question but have you tried the manual lock button on the inside of the door. This should override the central lock if the dead lock is not on.

    Iv always kept to 2 sets of pads to one set of disks OEM and nether had any problems. The only time I would change early is if they were shot from damage or overheating

    Check for any fault codes first. It sounds like a starvation of petrol or could be an air leak somewhere. Check the PCV valve hose. How old are your spark plug.

    Flip open the ashtray and cigarette lighter lids and give the console a gentle tug from there. Under the console there are 4 screws holding the gator boot in place.

    Also one to try is cleaning your MAF sensor with the correct spray. I had this on my car by the revs were fluctuating when I was stopping at junctions and traffic lights. I no mine is a petrol but for the price of a can of spray it’s good maintenance as well.

    Paul just to confirm is your car a saloon like mine. If not then it’s a different caliper like the 7th saloon with wind back calipers. The wind back caliper does not normally suffer from this.

    Hi Paul Yes the flexible hoses from the caliper. I used ones from ECP and they were better quality than the genuin ones. As for the outside pads they were lasting about 3 k and had scorch marks on and burned out. The iner pad was also shot. If you replace the caliper you will need a full brake...
