It could be anything to be honest. Mine's knackered and it's down to the compressor packing up. I've bought one for £250 and plan on changing it when I do my annual service.

Mine went on me the other week but I changed the battery and did the thing where you out the key in and turn it from position 1 to 2, pressed the fob and repeated it four times.

Yeah I cranked them up as high as I could. It's pretty poor isn't it! I'll take it out and give it another go today and see what happens.

I changed my lights today from the standard orange as a few of them had blown and put blue ones in. To be honest, I think they're a bit rubbish to be honest. Can I have some honest opinions? I am parked under a lamppost mind so it may have had an impact. Also, I can't seem to get light on...

Do you mean cruise control by any chance. I know a few 6th gens have cruise control. My 1.8 sport hasn't but your executive may well have.

Lings would probably be a good start to get the part numbers and then see what you can find on google from there.

I noticed my 1.8 struggle with the air con on however the compressor has given up the ghost now so I've ordered a replacement and will be swapping it over on the weekend. It's been a nightmare without air con this summer.

I need to remove the compressor from the car and possibly replace it. Just wondering if anyone's done it as a DIY job and if there's any little tips you can give me so it doesn't take too long. Cheers.

I gave it a go this morning. I couldn't get the arm to separate from the hub so it's off to the garage this afternoon to get it done. Once that was off I think it was plain sailing but failing to get that arm off put paid to those plans.

Trying to clean up the arches earlier and noticed my steering boot has split completely. Is this something I can replace myself? Would this have been responsible for the squeezing I can hear from that corner?

Being the idiot I am, when servicing my car over the last three years, I left the pollen filter off the list. Anyway, I changed it on the weekend, and this is what came out. Safe to say I'll be changing it every year from now on!

Is that an easy DIY job by any chance?
