    My thoughts exactly.

To part exchange or not part exchange that is the question

I had the clutch on my 07 Diesel Tourer replaced last August at Hendy Honda in Portsmouth and it was £621. That is a Honda fixed price for all clutch changes regardless of model & year.

I've just had the email back from SimplyCoolShop.com. Here are the details: #James2512: I ***ume from the price you paid that you went for the two weeks warranty option.

This looks great. I really don't know why Honda didn't implement this themselves as standard, at least on the EX. I've sent the enquiry email off this afternoon.

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

As I said earlier in this thread though, the car wasn't bought from a Honda dealer. It was a used car purchased from a Skoda main dealer. I'll let you know when I have a reply to my email.

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

Yeah, that was my next port of call. I've tried various Auto Locksmiths and the concensus seems to be that, where the 8th gen Accord is concerned, the key will need to come from a main dealer. I've just sent an email to the place I bought it from expressing my dissatisfaction. If only I'd known...

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

I did speak to the dealer today and he is adament that there was only one key and they don't have another. I'm going to call a couple of local Auto Locksmiths tomorrow who advertise that they can supply and program replacement keys and remotes including the immobiliser chips etc. I'll also ask...

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

Yeah, I found that page as well. The No. 10 honda key is the correct one. It is just a case of whether the dealer can reprogram that key to my car. Unfortunately, I didn't find out about the missing second key until after I'd paid for the car. I didn't even think about checking if there were...

    Honda HFT + Nokia Phones

I had exactly the same problems as you with my 7th gen accord EX and Nokia phones. First I had a Nokia 6300 which would connect to the bluetooth fine and I could make or receive ONE call on it. Then if I tried to make another call or receive one the bluetooth connection would just drop and I...

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

It's a manual. One thing I noticed today is how small the load space is compared to my 7th gen tourer. I'm a service engineer and I went to load all my gear in the back that I unloaded from my old car yesterday and it wouldn't fit. The load space is both narrower and not as long. I've driven...

Good point. It's a diesel. I shall update my profile accordingly.

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

Well I picked up the 59 plate 8th Gen Tourer EX today and said a sad farewell to my 7th Gen. Too early to give a honest opinion of it yet because I loved my old one so much I need to get used to this one first. However, the equipment level is astounding. It's great being able to upload the...

Replacing 7th Gen With An 8th Gen

Hi, I have been the happy owner of a 7th Gen EX tourer for the past 3 years but as I use it for company use (but privately owned) and it is 5 years old with 90,000 on the clock I now need to replace it. So, I am now getting a used 8th Gen EX tourer. Hopefully I will be picking it up middle of...

    DIY Mobile Phone Holder Bracket

Right, here we go. Here are a couple of new pictures taken from another angle to show that it is in fact flush. The rough cut edge of the dash vinyl is very floppy and just goes flat where the bracket is.

    DIY Mobile Phone Holder Bracket

I think it is just the angle of the photo. I definitely didn't shave anything off the dash but I do see what you mean. If I get a chance I'll pop the trim off tomorrow and take another pic from a different angle. You've got to bear in mind that this was 18 months ago and I can't even remember...

    DIY Mobile Phone Holder Bracket

Hi all, here are the details of my permanently fixed mobile phone holder bracket which is fitted to my 7th gen Accord Tourer. This was first posted on the original THAOC forums about 18 months ago and is still in my car today as good as ever. So, to start, this is what it looks like when...
