    Tourer brake issues and noises

You need to get the front wheel off and have a good look around, then give the brakes a good clean down and properly clean and grease the slider pins. It will hopefully give you a good base to build on. With regards the rear creak it may well be the spring pan causing that, it happened on mine...

    Diesel lowering springs?

Sadly Tein dont do coilies for the tourer either, Ive got the pro kit with aspec dampers. I just felt the front ride height was too high for me so decided to use my eibach springs with the dampers for what for me is a better performance and look.

Monks wheels - What are they in this pic?

Yep I like these wheels and ditched some nice borbet mutli spokes for them but some times you just gotta have  They where hard to locate as they are an option for the 8th gen but for european market not uk. However after I got the name etc Lee from HH sourced them for me within a month...

    2.4 06 Tourer - Help please!

The ex is a real power hungry motor and with the key in the first position you have access to most electrics. Also std sealed batteries can loose around 5% of total charge per week so its easy for a battery to run down if your not careful.

    Not your typical clutch question

I had a celtic map from 15k miles and needed the clutch changing at 32k. At 66k the clutch was slipping again so I fitted a 6 paddle clutch with uprated pressure plate. Its true to say the remap does not help things but we have seen many std cars have this clutch slip time and again. I do...

    Not your typical clutch question

No need to remove map just take it easy for at least 500 miles and not just motorway you want some stop start town as well. The fact will still remain that the stock clutch cant handle the torque and the pressure plate will self adjust again requiring a replacment in the future.

    Not your typical clutch question

Common issue pressure plate has fully adjusted and can no longer compensate.

Time to check your tyre pressures

Yep mine where down 2psi from a week ago due to the weather, agree visuals are useless for low profile tyres as they always look a little low.

    HIDs

It will come out with a bit of wiggling about but its uber tight. If you cant just drop the front of the bumper and remove the headlight sounds like alot of work but only takes about half hour at the most extra.

    What wax/sealant for green pearl?

Depends if you want the pearl flecs to to pop or you want durability? I use a different wax for summer and winter to achieve different needs.

Great writeup well done Just a note re the ezibleed, gunson do a universal cap which whilst fiddly will fit and do the job. It works on the same principle as above but with straps and wing nuts. However the above DIY looks far better imo. Matt if you have the bits left over if you could make...

    Biggred Caliper Refurbishment

Well it’s been three years since I’ve had my ATR calipers on the car. I refurbed them at the time but thought they could do with a freshen up and new seals are never a bad thing. Also it gave me the opportunity to spend some time with a local company which a lot of you already know…Bigg Red...
