    Heating

Time sounds about right. Pretty obvious but if its near zero it'll take longer. Incidentally, my scangauge shows the normal temperature as 79deg. During the sub-zero temperatures this winter it would a good 30 mins before the car was up to 79deg. I think theres 4 litres of coolant in the...

    Poor Handling (Understeer)

Tyres are goodyear ultragrip 7+, they do consistently well in both magazine reviews and user feedback reviews. I've been experiementing with psi to see if it makes any improvement. Sitting at 34/35, feels a little too skitish and appears to make the understeer worse. Now down to 31/32, less...

    Poor Handling (Understeer)

Thanks for the replys so far fellas. I had a full geo setup done a few months ago, car drives nice and straight and tyre wear has remained even across the thread (except a wee bit at the rear with the usual rear camber issue). The winter tyres are on stock 16s. To be honest, I'm finding the...

    Poor Handling (Understeer)

Maybe its because I used to drive MGs, but I'm finding the handling from the accord a little disappointing on roundabouts. Understeer is very quick to happen at anything over 40mph (talking about decent sized roundabouts here!). Even with new winter tyres - goodyear ug7+ which should be one of...

    Headlight Bulbs

Wondered how long before HID was mentioned :P Its not a mod I'm looking at doing, happy enough with the existing lights. Found these, look very interesting and especially with the 3 year guarantee...

    Headlight Bulbs

Had a headlight bulb blow (along with a tail light - must be getting to that age!). Am wondering what you guys are using? Stick with Honda bulbs? In the past have found the "extra" bright bulbs to be a waste, lasted no length of time. Lings are quoting £6ish for a H1, I guess my local dealer...

    Noisy or Rattling timing chain

Apparently if you put a screwdriver against the side of the engine you can tell if its the chain or not? Dunno if it works. Came across this thread ... interesting some of the prices they're quoting: http://www.tdocuk.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=5481 Do Honda replace both chains?

    Do your headlights condensate.

If the condensation is as bad as Stuarts, and Honda won't replace the headlights, then you'll need to take the lights out and reseal them. There must be a leak somewhere. I think someone posted about how they did this...

    Noisy or Rattling timing chain

CJ, am not trying to get into an argument here with you on this considering you know more about the subject! I know that HUK will be paying for the work and they have the right to reject a claim if they so desire, especially if the car hasn't been serviced to their intervals. BUT... before my...

    Noisy or Rattling timing chain

Does it not depend on the dealer? Mine never even looked or asked about the service history and it only had 2 services done in Honda. I would still go to the dealer and say nothing see what they say.

    Problem with emission control system

If you can get a good look at the filter it should have Bosch wrote on it. Was it changed recently?

    Do your headlights condensate.

Stuart thats terrible looking, that must have a real negative impact on the light. Considering I got mine done FOC and was nowhere near as bad as that I wonder should you give it another go?

    Front foglight problem

Agree with Adam sounds like the relay that seems to be a bit of a problem on the Accord. I recently got mine replaced as the front fogs weren't working at all. Think relay was around £40 (genuine Honda).

    window problem

Isn't this caused by the window runner getting a bit sticky and automatically goes down as it thinks someone's fingers have got trapped? Mine does this as well just never bothered to fix it yet!

16" wheels - would like to convert to 15"

Blimey!!! Just don't understand why they didn't go and get a set of genuine honda ones! Not sure about MOT but your insurance company may get awkward as the tyre sizes aren't to manufacturer recommendations. Incidently, the honda 17s are 225 as well but don't really sit out. I suspect the...

16" wheels - would like to convert to 15"

Phil, just re-read your first message  The reason your tyres are so expensive is because of the specific size. Are these the genuine honda alloys or an after market alloy? The honda standard size 16" is 205/55/16, you'll find the prices more reasonable for this size.
