Easist option to change dip beam headlamp bulb

I'd rather do the job myself to be honest.

Easist option to change dip beam headlamp bulb

Yes I did but to be honest the problem is that a metal structural part under the wing behind the headlamp makes access very poor from under there.

Easist option to change dip beam headlamp bulb

About 2 hour but I would say that I could do it in half that time now I know a way that suites me. I spent a lot of time taking the front of the wheel arch liners out when I only needed to remove the battery. Really pleased with the Philips xtreme bulbs though!

Easist option to change dip beam headlamp bulb

So I've changed the bulbs. Tried the method described in the handbook, taking one screw out of the wheel arch liner, completely impossible to do it this way. So i took several clips off the liner and did a much better job of removing the front half so that i could at least see the back of the...

Easist option to change dip beam headlamp bulb

The nightbreakers are really well reviewed. I've just bought some Philips xtreme. They are decent brightness and last for ages, much longer than most extra bright bulbs. I think it is possible to get at the main beam bulbs from under the bonnet and maybe the drivers side dip bulb (at a push!)...

Easist option to change dip beam headlamp bulb

I've purchased some upgraded H1 bulbs for my 8th Gen for the dipped beam. Tried the procedure described to replace the bulbs in the user manual and it is virtually impossible to force the under wing fender to the side far enough to get my arm in. I have to say i'm quite disappointed to have...

    Rear speaker upgrade

I'm thinking about upgrading the rear speakers in my 8th gen, but when i looked up how to remove them on my workshop manual cd it shows that the original speakers are mounted using one bolt. So it looks like the original speaker is designed to prevent any sort of upgrade. I could destroy the...

    What type of headlamp bulbs?

Does anybody know what type of halogen dipped beam bulb the 8th Gen uses? And how on earth do you get at them?! The users handbook suggests taking one screw out of the wheel arch liner and forcing it to the side to access the headlamp bulbs.

    Fit Hands Free Kit

I've just bought an 8th Gen i VTEC ES which does not have HFT. Does anybody know how to fit a parrot kit to 8th Gen? I have a kit which i removed from my 7th Gen, but don't know if the T harness from 7th Gen will fit the 8th Gen either.

    8th Gen Service Reminder Codes

I'm gonna stick with the 12.5k 1 year option then. Might watch the indicator to see how it pans out though.

    Check when service is due?

I just traded in a 7th gen 2 litre petrol with 97k on the clock. I owned it from 29k and changed the oil every 12.5k using mobil one 0w40. It ran faultlessly and still never used a drop of oil even at that mileage. I don't think these cars need an oil change any more often than 12.5k

    8th Gen Service Reminder Codes

Which will involve the fewest services, the service reminder system or following the 12.5k 1 year schedule?

    8th Gen Service Reminder Codes

I've just bought my 8th Gen on Saturday. The 12.5k 1 year service routine has been followed by the previous owner. If I continue with this and ignore the message thing on the dash (the dealer had not even reset it that I bought it from even though it was serviced last week) then will my...

    Knocking/clonking

I think the spring moving on it's seat on the damper could sound like that. Gonna get the wheels off at the weekend. will scrutinise spring seats etc.

    Knocking/clonking

If I reverse, left lock and hit the brakes my car has started to do a loud clock. It only does it on a morning when cold. Any ideas? I have checked, upper and lower balljoints, track rod ends, drop links only months old and feel ok, rubber bushes ok on rack, all rubber bushes ok on suspension...
