great job, I recently bought an 8th gen tourer and whomever had it in the past did this mod but left out the insides and I didn't get a genuine Honda wheel either. Nice to know a full size wheel will fit in there.

over a 1000mile average the MPG on my I-CDTi was 51.6 that is driving consistently easy, below speed limits and cruise control on motorways as well as 5 days per week stuck in traffic! its just a matter of reprogramming your throttle foot !!

So I have heat resistant expanding foam and heat resistant spray paint for the mat got and just waiting for some self-adhesive closed cell foam for the gaps between the sub frame of the bonnet before I attack this little project. Images to follow Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the replies, yes the outer skin is sitting perfectly. Would any expanding foam work or would it need to be heat sensitive? Sounds like a plan!

Thanks Matt, Yes at least the heat shield is present although it wuld be hard to miss. I removed this today and noticed the bonnet outer skin has come away from the subframe. the images show the glue spots have ripped away leaving about an inch seperating the two . . . strange because the bonnet...

to finalise the job took just over 2 hours to complete and the 2 front facing bolts and 2 front facing flange nuts were torqued to 30nm. Not sure what the correct setting should be and couldnt get the torque wrench on the down facing ones.
