Aircon Issue - Pressure Sensor (SOLVED)

Mine is back up and running after replacing pressure switch. When you said compressor is engaging is that when the aircon guy applied voltage to compressor or when switching aircon on dashboard? As i mentioned above i diagnosed my compressor as good by activating it through hds. I wasn't getting...

Aircon Issue - Pressure Sensor (SOLVED)

The check procedure is specific to the fault code that me and johnnytoxic found after plugging the hds into car. B2980-a short in the a/c pressure sensor circuit was the code. Alot of work involved in doing the procedure for this code, bottom of dash and trim needs removed as well as bumper off...

That's great news which would save me alot of hassle and cash so thanks for following this up. What aftermarket sensor did you pick up? And is the system working ok with it? The air con guy I use is as I said very reputable but if aftermarket is going to be ok then that's a £46 pound saving...

    Vibrating in Reverse Gear

My 2.2 idtec ex manual has the same issue, i replaced bottom rear mount and problem still there. If i remember it was around £230 new, i didn't want to buy used as no guarantee of how long it would last. Found that my old one wasn't actually that worn or any splits in rubber, bummer. I've also...

    Anyone on here from Glasgow

Thanks for that offer but sat is a no go for me. Are you still based in Edinburgh? I don't mind traveling over to you as I've monitored the characteristics of my readings cold vs hot engine and I've found some stuff that differs that ideally I'd like to see if it's normal on somebody else's. So...

    Ball joint nuts

If the nylocks start to loosen you'll certainly get a warning sign and start to hear and feel it. It's not like an actual ball joint failure where they've been know to just shear off with no warning signs with castle nuts still tight. They usually shear off where the tapered section meets the ball

    Bottom ball joints

Starting to get a bit paranoid of these failing. All I'm seeing on the fbook owners page is these snapping off recently on the 7th gens. Just wondering if there's anything to be concerned about on the 8th gens. I check mine regularly and I've still not got any play in them and I'm on 175k...
