    Front brake pads

It can only go on the inside - it's on the pad with the clip that goes inside the piston. Question is, should it be top or bottom as you look at the caliper - they're left and right handed presumably for a reason but will fit on either side of the car.

    Front brake pads

Just fitted front brake pads and discs on my 2009 Accord Tourer 2.2 iDTEC 150hp (single pot, 296mm discs). The two pads that clip inside the calliper pistons appear to be handed - there's a wear indicator (or are they anti-squeal springs?) on one side of the inner edge. Can anyone confirm...

Clock an hour out on 2.2 i-DTEC EX GT with navigation

Update: The papers are reporting that this problem probably happened on the 1st January because of an overflow in a signed 32 bit register (ie 1 bit for the sign and 31 bits for the number) where the max value is 2147483647. This runs into problems beyond the 31st December 2021 at 23:59 which...

    Front passenger door window switch

There a few threads about this issue. It does indeed seem that the 'computer' on the passenger side window switch board performs all these functions. I took mine apart and cleaned all contacts with contact cleaner and re a s s embled (this forum doesn't like A double S) and all works fine. Make...

Passenger door window/mirror/boot and hazards not working

Same here; been fine for the past 5 years since doing that.

    ABS Light fault

I'd try cleaning the contacts in the ABS sensor plugs and brushing the muck out of the ABS rings on the hubs. They live in an area which gets a lot of dirt build-up.

Passenger Power Window & Mirror not working.

Before trying to remove the board completely, try cleaning the gold plated pads on the board where the window switch makes contact- worked for me.

Clock an hour out on 2.2 i-DTEC EX GT with navigation

Just noticed today that my clock is an hour fast. Checking the GPS Information page, clock is correct but date is showing 19th May 2002. Looks like this erroneous date (it's January 2nd) is causing it to adjust to BST on the radio display. Any ideas?

    Power Folding Mirrors

Does the passenger window go down? This, the passenger mirror and the power tailgate are all controlled by the passenger side window switch circuit board. Prise up the trim, clean all contacts and reassemble.

Anyone tried replacing Egr pipe on DTec 2.2?

Thanks guys. I'll just blank the easy end then. :)

Anyone tried replacing Egr pipe on DTec 2.2?

Sorry to hijack old thread - if blanking off EGR (had remap done already), would you recommend two blanking plates, one at each end? Pipe is not split but that doesn't mean it won't in future and presumably would create an intake leak if I've only blocked exhaust manifold end. And how do you...

    Rear Brake Piston

If you go the route of a caliper rebuild (new piston, seal and boot), be warned that it's a pig to get the new boot seated inside the rim of the caliper and over the new piston. Tip: cable tie the boot to the piston as close as you dare to the closed end of the piston, then wriggle the boot into...

Rear tailgate issue .. need wiring diagram please

If tailgate not working and nor is passenger window or left hand folding mirror, the fault is with the circuit board in the passenger door below the electric window switch. Mine just needed stripping and cleaning with contact cleaner. Doesn't sound like the fault in this case but may help someone.

    DPF heat shield

But why do they design it so you have to remove the pre-cat O2 sensor to get the damn thing off?

One more - cost for a clutch replacement + bearing (ballpark)?

Cost me about a grand all in. Dual mass flywheel, clutch, bearing and bolts about £450 and then £550 for a whole day's labour at local garage (more than I could tackle myself, that one...) They reckoned after they should have charged for a day and a half as they had to take out pretty much...
