about other Spoon Sports parts for Accord CL7/CL9

The 1st one looks like steering box mountings, and the second looks like front knuckle and upper arm joints. But maybe another member could confirm if this is correct. If they are what I think then putting on a road car shouldn't be a problem.

    NAVI UPDATE DOUBT

Some people have managed to hack the DVD to change things such as the start up screen. But this then means you have to use a copied disc in your DVD player which is a bad idea as it causes the DVD player to burn out prematurely.

    Engine warning light on

     You don't have to but your MIL light will flash, your engine will refuse to rev and keep going into limp home mode, and you will end up replacing it for a genuine fuel filter like you should have done in the first place!!!

    Noisy Valves

Some people will say it's better to have it too loose and having it too tight will damage the engine, and others will say the opposite. Invariably these people are not mechanics and are just using a lack of knowledge to base their reasoning on. Every car has a set tolerance which the valves...

    seat belt warning

Brett, ***uming Honda have applied some familiarity to the wiring across the 7th and 8th gen you should be able to easily turn yours off using the same principle as on the 7th gen. The passenger seats will probably work on the same principle as the Civic and be activated by pressure sensors. But...

    Manifold Identification

On the old type there is a weld line which goes round the length of the manifold. This is the only pics I could find of the old one on here. old manifold On the new manifold it's a one piece casting so there is no weld lines. New manifold Hope that helps a bit. Sorry but I couldn't find any...

    Adjusting highbeam on headlights

If your lights are not pointing in the right direction the only way to adjust them, to get it right, and do it properly is to take it to a garage and let them adjust it using a light meter the same as they do in an MOT. Any adjustment by yourself will likely result in the headlight pointing in...

    Xcarlink installation error

When I fitted mine I slid a flat scraper in the side and prized the side up a bit to create a gap at the top, I then slid something in that gap too. I think I also got my fingers in between the top of the DVD drive and the dash trim. Then slowly worked at all 3 sides in turn to wiggle the trim...

    Xcarlink installation error

If it is the first time this panel has been removed it can be extremely tight. This is the 1st time I've heard of it being broken whilst being removed, and after removing the same panel myself and seeing how tight they are and how much the panel bends in the process, I'm surprised this hasn't...

an old honda problem strikes again for me

Just a little extra bit of info that I stumbled across in another thread. The top dashboard fascia comes off separately to the rest of the dash, so you don't have to remove it all as I previously though, just that one part. Take a look at some of the pics in a xcarlink DIY install. They use a...

    Strange Heater Issues?

Sounds like you have an air lock in the heater matrix. When you drive along and increase the revs it manages to push some water through the matrix resulting in hot air. But when sat at in traffic the revs are too low to allow the coolant past the air lock. Try bleeding the coolant system. There...

an old honda problem strikes again for me

What he means is there are 2 rows of veins. The horizontal veins at the front move up and down and behind this is a pair of vertical veins which move side to side. From his description it sounds like it's the ones behind that don't seem to be working. Have they just become disconnected from the...

    Blown bulb help required

Instead of trying to prise it up from the outside and damaging the trim pull it up from the inside edge (where the gaiter joins the plastic trim). There's enough play in the gaiter for you to get your fingers under the inside edge of the plastic and simply pull upwards 1 corner at a time.

    Pulled for hids

I completely understand this in principle as having a headlight not designed for the job will give bad light dispersion. I thought though on the Accord they used exactly the same headlight ***embly for the halogen bulbs and the Xenon bulbs as the mounting points for the Xenon ballast exists on...

    Aux belt

Buy the new belt from HH then get your indy to fit it for you. If a garage don't know how to fit the belt then they're probably not safe even to hold a fork. It's a very easy job for them to do. I think the new belt even comes with instructions on how to change them over. Alternatively get your...

    Cables routing

On the UK Accords behind the passenger side (left) wheel arch there is a rubber grommet which you can feed the wire through. The wire appears in the top left corner of the passenger foot well just underneath the dashboard behind the carpet. I ***ume this grommet is still there if your steering...
