    Anyone own a 2.0 i-vtec auto?

Hi As the the ***le suggests does anyone own the 2.0 auto on here? If so what is it like? Is it a good smooth box and does it really penalise the performance and mpg? I'm looking at a couple of accords at the moment and one is an auto with only 37k, the condition and mileage are making it...

Worth a look or too expensive?

Don't get me wrong i'd much rather have a 2.4 but can't seem to find a later model with reasonable mileage and in good condition. I also had a 2008 VRS and that wasn't as good but mine is the facelift one has the tsi engine which is much better!

Worth a look or too expensive?

Thanks for the initial replies. I would be in agreement with 3k tops really, It feels like a big step backwards going from a 61 plate to an 06 but if the car is as good as it looks in the pics then it doesn't look too much of a step back.

Worth a look or too expensive?

Hi Guys I'm currently driving a 61 plate Octavia VRS petrol which is a great car but i'm considering selling up and paying off some debts and therefore purchasing a cheaper car. The cheaper car still needs to look very respectable, be reliable and economical over a commute of 4 miles each way...

    Should i buy a 150k+ 8 Gen Diesel

Thanks for all the feedback. I am now considering this option due the fact i don't drive rocket ship miles each year. Yes it's a lot older but i'm wondering if it might be a good move...

    Should i buy a 150k+ 8 Gen Diesel

Hi All I am looking for a new car and I am a bit of a Jap car enthusiast with around 5k to spend. For this a I need reliable, good looking, family transport. I am a fan of driving something that isn't so popular therefore i'm leaning towards an accord. I have spotted what looks to be a very...

    Help with clutch issue

Thanks very much. The bite isn't REALLY low, just different to how it was. Would an adjustment make it easier to engage gears smoothly?

    Help with clutch issue

Hi Guys I wonder if you can help. A few days ago all of a sudden my clutch peddle bite went completely and the clutch peddle collapsed to the floor and it needed lifting up manually every so often. The car was undriveable to i had to be be recovered and taken to Mr Clutch. They looked at the...

2002 1.8 vtec hesitation at low revs

Hi Guys Just to offer an update - I had a full service done and that included new plugs, leads and dizzy cap. But the hesistation is still there, on an incline the car is a flat as a pancake to drive and struggles somewhat. I have a feeling now that the problem could be the o2 sensors as I've...

2002 1.8 vtec hesitation at low revs

Hi All I've recently picked up a 1.8 vtec sport with 77k and fsh for a measly £725. It seems quite well looked after but I have a slight problem. When the engine is cold there is a huge flat spot when accelerating at low revs, the revs increase but there is virtually hardly any increase in...

High mileage 2.4 accords, worth the risk?

I must admit I don't think I will miss the ST. Whilst most ford people think the engine is bullet proof I've just found it to always have some niggling fault, either not idling properly even after buying a new coil, leads and idle control valve. When it's on song it's great but all too often it...

High mileage 2.4 accords, worth the risk?

This is the one i'm thinking of taking a look at. As you can see has just reduced the price. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-accord-vtec-executive-immaculate-condition-2004-1995-ono/1066890082#photo-content It has full service history. Mark

High mileage 2.4 accords, worth the risk?

Hi again Thanks for all the responses. I must admit you have mostly confirmed what I was thinking with regards to the price being too high. Shame there are not more accords around, I don't seem to have the pick of many around where I live. Regards Mark

High mileage 2.4 accords, worth the risk?

Hi All I am looking for a new motor and only have a small budget. I have come across an immaculate 04 2.4 Executive which has 153k FSH and all receipts. It has also only had 2 owners and has obviously been looked after. The car is up for sale for £2250. At this mileage should I steer clear or...
