1990 4th.Gen to give away FREE

It went for scrap. But a year later I still had and still have 4 accords ... I bought a 7th gen tourer in 2018. Not the colour or the 2.4 I wanted but hey ho....

2004 Tourer 2.0 owner manual in pdf

I have just bought a 7th.Gen 2004 2.0L tourer but it didn't come with an owners manual. I have an owners manual for my 4dr accord, both in print and a pdf, but would like a manual for the tourer as although mostly the same there are differences! Such as the tailgate... :-) Does any one know...

7th.Gen Estate tailgate spoiler: will post-facelift fit pre-facelift?

Does anyone know if the rear spoiler on the tailgate of a post-facelift 2.4 estate will fit a pre-facelift 2.4 estate? Logically it should but you can never tell with Honda ;) BTW I am looking at buying a 2.4 estate, that's why I ask. I like the look of the post facelift estate over the...

1990 4th.Gen to give away FREE

After many years my 1990 Accord Automatic has to go to a good home for spares or restore. It will need collecting on a trailer. It was taxed, insured and had MOT up until May 2017. But has been off the road at my local garage for some time. They need the space so I have to do something about it...

    2.4 Ex Engine Economy

I regularly get 400 miles from a tankful with my 2.4 Auto. I'm a bit sad in that I have been recording fuel consumption for years with all of my Accords. This 2.4 has a better fuel economy than my 6th gen 2.0 Auto on like for like driving conditions.

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

A Postscript... The Accord Type-V is dead. Today my type-v was collected by the insurers and has gone to the scrapyard in the sky (I ***ume). It has taken this long since last August to get a resolution. The car was eventually professionally inspected in early February (at my insistence) and...

will front oxygen sensor from accord 2.3 work on a accord 2.0

While the fate of my Type-V 2.3 is being decided, I have a faulty front oxygen sensor on my 2.0 accord. It's been like that for a couple of years. But getting a replacement from Honda is somewhat expensive. Does anyone know if I can just swap the oxygen sensors over? (and then reset the ecu)...

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

No not at the moment. Fortunately, we don't rely on that car (since we have another 2 Accords) so I'm in no hurry to sort it out. I have had another good look underneath and I can't see any damage to the chassis. I am going to get the bodyshop to actually check it on a jig.

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

The plate is (was) of concern because of what happened to one I had 35 years ago... I lost it and I didn't want to lose this one. Subsequent to the posts above, I have now found out that the rules etc have changed considerably and I can transfer it. I very nearly bought an identical direct...

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

That's a good idea but sadly that one won't match as it's a midnight blue 4dr SE (2.0L) with grey interior & 122k miles. Mine is an atlantic blue 5 dr type-v (2.3L) with tan leather interior (in very good condition & no rips etc) & 94k miles. I don't have any sentimental value for the car but...

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

The problem is I know that car's history and what has been done to it since I bought it in 2010 (eg new brake & fuel lines, air con pipes etc) If there were another similar one available then I'd change the plates (there is no way that number is going as it's mine..I've had it 30 years) and...

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

No it missed it. It will be rechecked by the bodyshop before any work is done on it. However it drives/rides just the same as it normally does. The inner skin around the boot area is intact with little damage (it's bent a bit). I've been told will pull out fairly easily. On the rear quarter...

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

I can't see a way of uploading pictures to this forum otherwise I would have done. The attachments don't seem to work :-( I'm obviously doing something wrong but I can't see what. I will try and change my profile picture to show the car (have done that.. not a good quality picture). It looks a...

accord 6th.Gen hatchback rear quarter panel anyone?

Last wednesday my 2001 type-v HB was hit up the rear by a young driver. My car was stationary waiting to turn left at a roundabout. Indicator on, back lit up with brake lights (it's an automatic). Nobody in the rear view window, then moments later BANG another car hit the offside rear quarter...

    what is difference?

My apologies for replying months later. I have both a 2.0i SE Exec (2000) and a V-type 2.3i (2001). The 2.3l engine is the same as the 2.0l engine but a different stroke etc. And 5bhp. The Rover GSi has a different head... the one that can have problems with overheating due to it's restricted...

    Type-V 2.3i heavy on fuel?

What is really annoying is 3 years ago I had the chance to buy a low mileage 2.2i Aerodeck complete with leather seats etc and for a sensible price. However SWMBO found out & said no we didn't need another accord... so i didn't tell her when I bought the v-type last year.... which she now...

    Type-V 2.3i heavy on fuel?

I bought it in 1994 and I still have it... it is currently in a friend's bodyshop having the wheel arch rust looked at "properly". After 20 years it started looking tatty in places. Mechanically it is just fine. I think it's better to drive than the later two Accords I have but it has a lousy...

    Type-V 2.3i heavy on fuel?

Many thanks for info. That's just what I needed to know... especially about the lpg consumption. The 2.0 auto seems to do about 3000rpm @70mph which is what I usually set the cruise control to (well within tolerance) on the motorway. I must admit I rarely run it with the climate control set...
