Faulty wiring within the comments but it looks like a hardware issue. Try draining all brake fluid - fully and repenish with new stuff first to save your time.

Since it looks in the main to be a rear of vehicle issue I would start with the wiring loom to the boot area. Are there any cracks in the light fittings that may have let water into the lamps ? Do you have a warm garage you can park the car in for a couple of days ?

When you replaced the washers did you thoroughly clean the metal under the lower (cylinder head) and scrape away the gunge from the top injector where it clamps down on the copper ? If not you will have to do it all again. Mileage of the car may be useful and how many times it may have been...
