Aftermarket exhaust for accord 7 2.4 Automatic .Drone issue .

If the exhaust has a name like 'Hi-Power' it is either going to be consrtucted lighter than OEM, and/or have better flow for similar weight. Either option is going to have shortcomings with the dB readout at certain frequencies A couple of years ago neighbours complained via social media when...

Any advice about my 2005 Honda Accord

If you have the space you could buy a written off model and swop out the parts required.

    2007 Automatic EX 2.0 - P2647, P0325, P0705 - Mechanical or electrical?

Change the oil and filter(s) first. What is the current mileage ? Apart from a lazy battery, almost all faults I have cleared are down to something mechanical on its way out.

    Sluggish acceleration, ideas.

I don't believe any series 7 has had one but it may be better than the stuff used for direct cleaning of egr piping before or after a good run.

    Sluggish acceleration, ideas.

Just by chance I popped into the local Tesco just now and they have Redex DPF cleaner on sale for £3 (250ml). It might be worth trying a bottle in a near empty tank before taking things apart (or use it directly on the turbo parts if you do start stripping) Are you doing short trips more than...

    Sluggish acceleration, ideas.

Glowplugs are for starting in cold weather and will not make a difference. Have you listened for any new noises under the bonnet ? 240,000 miles ? the engine has only just run in. Whilst I've not done it ,on mine, I would consider scraping/vacuuming carbon deposits from around the...

    Changing a clutch master cylinder

Excellent writeup, a subject that continues to perplex on why cars have continued to be subject to ever increasing emission controls (all good of course) but the ever increasing need to reach out to others online in the first instance (those servers do suck up resources), or drive to an approved...

Horrible damp type smell when turn off cabin re-circ

I would turn it off and leave the car outside in hot weather with all orifices open (boot/bonnet/doors) to let the moisture evaporate as much as possible There was a claim of old still water stored in cars (often the container for windcreen washer fluid, a plastic pouch like a hospital drip)...

    Any London lads here?

What tools do you have ? A full sized spare wheel shoved under the front sill would be paramount. Central London ? Daylight so you don't end up getting stabbed.

    Overboosting 2.2 Diesel I-Ctdi - Solutions?

I would go for a replacement TPS from personal experience. Engine light goes out after three switch off/restarts (or immediately if you have the OBD2 thingy wired up)

    Overboosting 2.2 Diesel I-Ctdi - Solutions?

Brake calipers, check the disc/pads are not overheating (rear left especially) Earthing points and corrosion under the bonnet. Don't park/live near the coast. If a saloon make sure you have a way of getting into the boot. Get a spare key and always keep a replacement battery for it in the car...

Is this type s worth buying?

If the gearbox was OK then perhaps, you should really go see for yourself as two years out in a yard is a long time for paint/plastic/alloy.

Is this type s worth buying?

I paid same for mine almost ten years ago with 150k on the clock and it still has all gears Saloon or Tourer ? Condition of the bodywork ? Modifications (wheels/brakes/suspension)? Number of previous owners ? Are you likely to be using it in a ULEZ zone ?

Anyone kind enough to help with a fraudulent and substandard VSA repair

I recall during my time searching for a replacement modulator, one of the companies repairing them confirmed they did not dismantle the box fully but fitted parts on the outside which may or may not have been a third party switch. Did you take pictures of the original modulator whilst checking...

Anyone kind enough to help with a fraudulent and substandard VSA repair

I did not suggest taking the car back to the same garage, you confirmed earlier the earlier fault had been fixed.

Anyone kind enough to help with a fraudulent and substandard VSA repair

If not a Honda workshop or trained mechanic, the garage might spend a bit of additional time and effort nailing down the exact fix. If you check my early posts I changed a couple of sensors before replacing the modulator,. I had looked at sending it away for repair but fortunately found a...
