Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Well after 24'000 miles (161k in total) a recon set of injectors, a new alternator which still hasnt fixed the charging issue, countless hours of testing electrical circuits, plumping, hoses and connections, replacing the front lower wish bones, drop links for the anti roll bar and no doubt lots...

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Well we have a development !!! On the drive to work I completely lost all power and only had tick over. I noticed that the temp gauge was very high. Limped to work (its amazing what you see at 15mph!!) Refilled the now empty rad and then drove back. On the way home there was a noticable...

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Well that is my hope too, But nope not this time. I have taken the airbox off entirely and no desernable difference. However a little more info, its most noticable around 2100-3200. Peak psi in 3rd is 17.7psi but will only give this at WOT for about 3 seconds or less and generally drops to about...

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Hi all. So I have some more information about the sluggish performance. Firstly the turbo pressure is still able to climb to 22psi in 1st but in 3rd I discovered something interesting. If you approach a roundabout at a high speed then go from 5th to 4th to 3rd quickly , so keeping the engine...

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

So... not giving up I have taken the entire inlet system out and discovered... nothing. No holes no bad connections, nothing. So went back to the EGR having checked the turbo, and found it wasnt quite fully seating, then found that the solenoid is slightly sticky so soaked it in silcone... the...

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Checked the EGR and thats fine, ive also checked the resistance on the injectors and they are all identical with about 0.4ohms. Ive been looking at the denso boost control and I'm wondering if thats worth a poke? More importantly, can the turbo be taken off the block without taking the engine...

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Hi all. Just a little help, recently I have noticed that my diesel is holding back at about 3k. And absolutly no pickup on a small incline at 45mph in 5th. And will not give me more than about 3200 in 5th (107mph aka on a tiny incline) Equally if you allow a steady throttle build up to about...

Not limp home but sort of the same

Finally found the problem !! After searching cleaning and replacing component after component, the fault causing Limp home mode was down to a drop in fuel rail pressure... which was caused by a cracked injector. Been out and tested it since installing a replacement set from ebay... and shes...

Honda Accord 2.2 ctdi strange noise after replace dual mass flywheel

How does it drive? Is it selecting gears correctly? Any clutch smell? I once hand this issue on a TD5 defender and discovered the clutch wasnt installed correctly causing the starter to spin the input shaft of the clutch. The resistance was low so shifting gears was easy enough but getting 1st...

    Fuel return line

Dead simple question. The fuel return line on the i-cdti engine running from the fuel rail to the pump... should it have a clamp at each end? I am on about the one which is about 8mm diameter. Only reason for asking is that mine hasnt and I am trying everything to find the recent contineous...

    EODB 1260 ISSUE

Hi all, not sure where best to post this but since I have a 7th gen then figured this would be a starting place. I have a Galletto 1260 cable and software problem. I have a windows 10 laptop and I cannot get it to read my ECU no matter what I try. I have tried the following in the order...

Not limp home but sort of the same

Small update. I have installed and blead a new fuel filtre (oem Bosch) and it made a little difference. However we are not out of the woods yet. When I got back having put her into LHM I discovered the fuel bulb was not firm. I will try to take her for a run later and not go into LHM and check...

Not limp home but sort of the same

Unfortunatly that is something that I have no clue on. I have considered getting a spare ecu as this has crossed my mind a few times. I would have said performance related if it has been then its a mild tune at the most. I will do a few 0-60 runs to see how close to OEM.

Not limp home but sort of the same

Its not turbo pressure. I have just ran the sanner and intentionally made it go into LHM. The 1st time it was at 17.1psi and the 2nd time was at 13.1psi One thing I have spotted which may be of interest is engine load. It will run round to 100% very easy even with small throttle inputs and...

P0698 which is vechicle power train... other wise as useful as a chocolate tea pot.. simply its something below the bonnet. Helpful I know. I am unable to post a pic as the file size is too large I will try to find out what the item is next to the fuel filtre on the right (viewed from infront...
