    Opinions of the 2.0 i-vtec

I have a CL7 (7th gen) with the 2.0 litre unit, which is currently for sale, It is fine on the motorway and it has a smooth and lovely pull, the car is weighty and you can feel it off the line but it is not a rev hungry engine, just more of a cruiser.

    Type v

If it is really clean, with low miles and history to back up with it, then it could be worth it as it is still alot of car for the money but I would still bargain with the seller, Type-V's don't go for much but I think 2K would be a good price for a low miles, well looked after Type-V.

Accord Type R Front brake Calipers seized!

I bought a repair kit for mine from ebay, the seller is brakes international, I got a local mechanic to fit it, it is a big job though if the pistons are seized and fiddly to put the new pistons plus the seal in but anyone who is a Honda specialist, it is a hour to two hour job for them. I...

Is it worth buying a 6th Gen

Anything that has an advisory for rust, I would walk away. I do agree they need TLC as they get older and older.... underseal is a must and if possible, keep them away from winter roads and the nasty salt as much as you can, they are the huge killer, but lets all keep as many 6G Accords on the...

Is it worth buying a 6th Gen

Glad you are looking at the MOT history, I do it on every car I buy as its important, if it has an advisory for rust, walk away in my opinion. They need TLC and many are neglected and has never seen underseal. Mileage doesn't matter but regardless of whether its high or low miles, check if it...

Is it worth buying a 6th Gen

An Auto car will be fine but they usually gets taxed more if its after 2001 registered, If you are after an executive... they can be had for cheap and its alot of car for your money but do keep an eye on the history and check for any rust on them. Check also the bulkhead. I had a 1.8 Sport and...

    Joined the dark side..

Someone mentioned earlier that German cars are good when they are new to relatively new before issues pop up, I certainly agree... I have an Audi A4 TDI Sport on a 54 plate which I bought as a daily driver, mechanically its fine and build quality is great, but due to the number of sensors and...

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

Its a Honda forum, a resource for people to let their fingers lose :P But in all seriousness, The cars bought by members probably had a hard life beforehand?

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

I am not sure where the bushes wearing quickly on Hondas has come from.... I have had 6 Hondas and can't say I had any issue with bushes when it comes to MOT. My ATR had its original bushes changed at 130K abouts and it was 16 years old at the time, which I thought was great and this is a...

    25 yrs of Type R

Nothing wrong with having extra seats and a big boot as a toy, it matters about the drive and the ATR is amazing at it.

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

^ I have an Audi A4 Sport myself as a daily driver, I do agree body roll isn't too bad but I wouldn't push it at all, its not made for it and you can see it hasn't got the set up to cope.

Again, Agree about the 7G bit... My dads 7G Accord Type-S was less stable than my old Vtec sport lol.

The virtues of double wishbone suspension

A standard Accord, I agree as above, its not made for corners and more to sit on the motorways as a comfortable car to eat the miles. I had a Vtec Sport and it was quite terrifying taking a corner. Not saying they are unstable and they are better to a point than other saloons of the same year...

    Type v

Type-V was only avaliable as a 2.3 litre. The 2litre models can be had in both pre and facelift. If its a 2000, its a pre facelift.

Wow, that link posted has to be the most "I can't be bothered" write up of the Type-R tribute I have seen, appalling.... Have a look at the Auto car magazine feature and the video of the reviews, and there are better resourceful websites than the one posted above.
