I'm presuming it's reference to cars sold in the UK as the first car to carry the badge was a JDM NSX.Channel Hopper said:Type Rs have been around somewhat longer than 25 years.

Type V, for those vertically challenged.? :blink:freddofrog said:Slight tangent to the thread, somewhere or other I got the impression that "Type-S" means "stiffer suspension", and "Type-R" means "racing suspension and engine", or is there more to it than that ?
The 'R' designation was given to certain models released to the public in order that ****logation regulations could be met. You are correct that performance upgrades to the engine and suspension would be included in the road going versions though there would also be unique pieces of technology added to the mix when it came to bodywork (carbon fibre in the case of the VF1000R fairing) and the paintwork, which would often reflect the HRC colour scheme of that year, with an option of one of the major sponsors, Rothmans in the case of the NS400R in the mid 80's.freddofrog said:Slight tangent to the thread, somewhere or other I got the impression that "Type-S" means "stiffer suspension", and "Type-R" means "racing suspension and engine", or is there more to it than that ?

In the case of a 6th gen it may be VIP, because the interiors of those were lovely.

If it's going to be a another toy, I don't need the 4 seats and big boot like I did when I had one as a daily drive.Shuthan said:How come?
As is the VF when hooning it.Shuthan said:H22 on full chat is amazing too
Nothing wrong with having extra seats and a big boot as a toy, it matters about the drive and the ATR is amazing at it.Pottermus said:If it's going to be a another toy, I don't need the 4 seats and big boot like I did when I had one as a daily drive.
