will 8th gen tyres fit 7th gen tourer?

Yes thanks. I think I'll try to buy the alloys and change the tyres (as suggested by Brett). That way, I will not have to tell my insurance company as the 7th gen also comes in 17inch alloys with 225/45/R17 tyres.

will 8th gen tyres fit 7th gen tourer?

Thanks. I looked at the website http://www.wheelcalc.com/ and it shows a difference of 3.87% of my circumference. It recommends not changing more than 5%. In addition, I guess the car will sit about 2.5cm higher from ground. Would you guys recommend I change or look for right size wheels?

will 8th gen tyres fit 7th gen tourer?

Hi my 7th gen tourer 2004 has 16inch alloys. I've seen a set of 17inch alloys for sale from 2010 accord. will they fit my car? Both 8th gen and 7th gen have same PCD 5 x 114.3. Also I believe the offset is the same 55. However 8th gen tyres are 225 / 50 / R17. 7th gen seem to be...

Oil leak on Honda tourer 2.2 CDTi 2004

Hi guys Finally cleaned everything up (using gunk) and restarted car to see if I could see any potential sources of leaks. Unfortunately (for me), a small amount of oil appeared on timing chain cover. It is higher up from tensioner cover and above oil feed/return pipe. See pic below...

Oil leak on Honda tourer 2.2 CDTi 2004

Hi guys Thanks for all the useful info and pictures. At the time, I just cleaned away area best I could with paper towels. No doubt I will have to clean the oil away again: 1. John, sorry for my ignorance, but is gunk some trade name for some cleaning spray? Is it widely available at most car...

Oil leak on Honda tourer 2.2 CDTi 2004

Hi As the weather has taken a turn for the worst with the rain, my car has decided now is a great time to play up. I've noticed a small drop of oil on my driveway. Confirmed leak when garage was doing the tracking on my car and had the car up on the ramp. I have removed the plastic...

    Removing diesel fuel injectors

Update for those interested. Changed my air filter as suggested. This made a huge difference to black smoke (first car I've owned where changing the air filter has made so much difference; old filter did not seem too badly clogged up). Now I only get the greyish smoke (like on cold foggy days...

    Removing diesel fuel injectors

Thanks Jon and Brian for all information and quick responses. Sounds scary loosing injector bolts while car is idling but I like the idea and will try it. Pressure-relief valve fixed the starting problem. I tried the DIY leak back test and all injectors seemed fine. No fuel leaking from...

    Removing diesel fuel injectors

Hi My first post on this forum, although I have already found the information on this forum very useful (had a faulty pressure relief valve on my common-rail). I have a Honda Accord 2.2iCTDi 2004 ~140K miles. I have only had this a few months and would like to remove the injectors and get them...
