Front parking sensors random / intermittent

Thanks Guys ... I've got used to looking in front of me when driving forwards (Hi John!) ... so perhaps I can manage without sensors until the sun shines enough to get under the front. Chris:- perhaps the sensors are on back-order because the dealers are selling them 8 at a time! My local...

Front parking sensors random / intermittent

Hi Guys, This is a bit late after the last post - but: 2 of my front sensors are chipped and the local dealer says rain has got in and corroded them - so they both need to be replaced - he's quoted £644.92 to do the job ... yes SIX HUNDRED and FOURTY QUID! I asked for the part numbers and it...

    Adding POI to satnav system

Bon Jour Julian, Bienvenu a Tupe Accord I'm not a satnav guru (and that's all my French too!) but I've wondered the same thing about my Accord's satnav. I've asked about a bit and seen something like your 'pimp-nav' software in Thailand and South Africa (but not recently). As far as I can see...

    Wandering steering

Thanks for your advice Brett, You can see on my Yoko post - the front Toe on my 8th gen was out 8' and there was significant inside edge wear on the fronts. The Hunter is a neat bit of kit - I wonder why Honda doesn't invest - I wonder how many other Accords with uneven tyres are wandering...

    Tyre recommendations please?

Update ... I finally went with Honda-san's recommendation and stayed with Yokos from my local specialist dealer, fitted this morning .... I also had a go on a Hunter 4-wheel alignment to understand the uneven tyre wear - the near side toe was off by 8' (minutes of angle - not feet!!). So...

Hello, My 58 2.0 EX petrol auto has averaged 32mpg over the last 15 months and peaked up to 40mpg on long Motorway rides. ... looking for something wooden to touch ... but the auto box is quiet, smooth and faultless (well a little nudge every now and again putting it into gear with the brakes...

    Tyre recommendations please?

Hello Chaps, My 58 plate 2.0EX petrol auto is about down to the wear bars on the front (nearer on the inside that the outside - so 2nd topic = wheel alignment?) and about 6mm on the rears and currently has nice quiet Yokohama db E70D 225/50R17s all around. The question is do I spend £320'ish...

Hands Free phone - acoustic feedback

Hello Guys, Bit of an update - I mentioned it to the dealer at the last Type A service, they couldn't repeat the fault and there were no traces in the fault log - so they didn't do anything. It's not happened again Very curious - but I'm glad it's gone away. Cheers, Graham

    58 plate wipers

A quick update I did as Brett suggested and went to the local Honda dealer. Instant service, offered to fit them and all for £21.98. 3 (wet!) months later, the blades are still perfect so I'm very happy. Just to make you all smile, my wife's Seat Leon (wash my mouth out with soap and water!)...

Hands Free phone - acoustic feedback

Thanks Guys, Did you have it happen to you Mr Brett? it certainly was a high pitched squeal - very loud and got lounder too. What did you find when you took things to pieces - or was it a matter of re-making connections? If it happens again I'll go see my friendly dealer - I may mention it...

    Windscreen Trim

If you're careful, you can pull the strips out of the clips and then glue the clips back with a decent super glue. Press the strips back into the clips - don't glue them!!! I did mine and so far so good ... But I agree - the Dealer should do something for you under warranty - I never thought...

Hands Free phone - acoustic feedback

Had the surprise of the year this evening - I pressed the 'talk' button to call the wife (as you do when you leave the office to make sure your tea is ready when you get home ...!) and got a huge earful of acoustic feedback - so much I needed to stop to turn things off! When I got home (while my...

    Front Door Speakers

Hi Guys - want a bit of a laugh ... I posted earlier my local dealer agreed to replace my buzzing rears ... well, after waiting a while for the speakers to arrive - the technician replaced the FRONT pair - he said - it's usually the front speakers that buzzzz. Anyway - honest guy he was - he...

    Front Door Speakers

Hello Gazza, If your's 'buzz' like my rears did and your car's still in warranty, Honda recognise a problem with some speakers and replace them under warranty. Seems there was a bad batch at some time, they'll probably check your VIN but tthey didn't take much persuasion to change my rear...
