I see, I thought that this reset procedure was for all faults. Is there any similar way to clear this type of fault as I don't have access to a scanner\reader? Or will it take long to clear on its own?

What I'm seeing id the glow plug light and check engine light. I've also tried resetting it by connecting pin 4 & 9 of the diagnostic plug and going through the reset procedure a few times but this hasn't worked either.

I've tried disconnecting the battery for a while and it has not got rid of this light. Any other ideas?

Hi all, since I tried to run the compressor with using a wire from the battery to pin 2 of the relay I have got a engine check light on my dash, is there an easy way to clear this?

Cheers for the reply, so no one obvious usual leak. Is the only way to find the leak by re-gassing and using the uv detection? or would it be easier to just replace the compressor seals and then re-gas?

Hi there, I've been on to them, and they sound like decent guys but they are pricey enough. I presume that all they do is replace the hydraulic block the same as I'm hoping to do. I'm going to try to see if I can buy this unit myself and fit it.

Has anybody here successfully manages to fit a new hydraulic block to their pump? The problem i foresee is not having the correct part number when I go to VW or my local motor factors for the part.

Is there any chance I'm reading the flashes of the ABS light incorrectly, where can I find a list of fault codes? Has anybody replaced their VSA unit and have a step by step guide done on the job? Regards Padraic.

Hi everyone, I've tried to clear the faults and the VSA neutral position setting, but neither of these procedures have cured the problem. Is there anything else I can do before I attempt to replace the VSA Module?

I'll also try to find a VSA unit from a breakers close to me here at home, I cant be with out the car for too long so sending the unit for repair isn't feasible. I would manage to swap the unit in a day if I had one.
