Noticed today Costco are selling Mobil 1 turbo diesel oil in 0-40 weight £27 for 5l - would this be good enough for the 2.2 icdti?

Cheers

Only if you're planning on selling it in the next 6 months.

Gumph - its that fussy? My SAAB Aero was a car you didnt dare deviate from the factory spec oil wise - is the Accord diesel the same? Only had it a month and looking at getting it done next week - what is the correct dfactory grade weight?

Cheers

As above, have a search and read through the various threads about why and what. But for basic info it's 0-30 fully synth, and you MUST use a Honda filter as well.

Brand is not important, viscosity is key. Honda oil filter is not mandatory but preferred. Only Genuine Fuel Filters are a must.

Have a look at our affiliate Lubetech

There is also a discount a code that you can get from either Admin or Mod.

You can get 25 litres and it works out extremely reasonable, lots of us on here use it.
