05 decat for remap

Hi guys posting from Northern Ireland (more lenient know road emissions) here, I will be buying an 05 I-ctdi sport in a week or so, just wanting to know, where are the cats located ? Is there one in the down pipe? Have big plans for this car ! Will keep you guys updated ! Want the cats out before I remap !

Don't decat it mate, you will lose power and weaken the turbo.

If you really want to improve it for power then have your existing intercooler reworked by a radiator specialist and go for our stage 2 EGR off. You'll be hitting well over 300lbft torque

Thanks, I've mixed feelings about as I've done research and it's coming mixed reviews, the guys doing the map for me is a custom map, and has promised, 183bhp and at least 301 lb-ft ! Do you really get that much gains of an egr delete ?
