Hi Guys,

I looking up about suspension upgrades and it's just coming up with more questions than answers. I've seen that in the original promotional stuff for my car that you could get an optional extra of "sportier" suspension. I ***ume this means the suspension that's on the Type S as standard (as it says it's not available for the Type S).

So firstly, is there a noticeable difference? Is it worth while?

Secondly, while I highly doubt my car has this optional extra, I don't want to pay for upgrades, only to discover I already had them, so I wanna double check first. I ***ume I need to measure the height from the top of the wheel to the wheel arch? What should this be?

Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Guys,

Steve

Steve i believe the type S & EX are the same suspension but let someone also confirm.
The Honda OEM upgraded suspension is A spec for our cars.

Have a look here

 Really! If I bought a Type S and it had the same suspension as mine I'd be a little disappointed. Sure it's comfy, but there's a fair bit of roll when you corner with any speed. I wouldn't say it's sporty at all. I guess the added weight of the Exec (motorised leather seats, all signing all dancing centre console etc) might contribute to this, and maybe my expectations of the Type S are a little high. we'll wait for a confirmation, as you say Brett. But it would look like the A-Spec might be the way to go.

:)

If you want that sporty ride then A spec all the way :)

I think the only thing to differentiate the type s was its bodykit, half leather and lack of toys.

Nice bodykit though ;)

It is a nice body kit isn't. Very understated, but proper suave. I do fancy a Type S body kit in the future. Would need to clean up my current body first though. Get the dents out the bonnet and some scuff/chips removed  .

Facelift type s has a slightly different suspension to the ex. Not sure what the difference is though, I think its slightly lower. But it is not the a spec setup.

I'm starting to think that for a subtle, tasteful yet noticeable improvement, the A-Spec is the way forward. As they're technically Honda, can you get A-Spec stuff through your Honda Garage, or are you better off going through somewhere else? If so, where?

:)

It's Honda all the way bud. Not sure about other dealers, but Holdcroft sorted me out. It is special order but I would have thought any dealer should be able to do it for you.
