Hey peeps.

So I'm went through my MOT a bit ago and the guy tells me that one of my wheels has the beginnings of a crack on one of the spokes.

Anyway he was nice to pass me and I've been out and got myself some nice, shiny 18" rims. They came with seriously skinny tyres which needs to be rectified.

I realise entirely that lowering the tourer looks pretty necessary, but as far as tyres go should I go for a 40 or 45 aspect to fill out the rest of the gigantic arches?

Input always appreciated :)

Hey, lovely looking wheels man. Really set the car off, but you want to lower it for sure ;) .

- 17 Inch Rims need 45s
- 18 Inch Rims need 40s
- Tourer lowering spring I've got: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-ACCORD-2-2I-CTDI-2-4-2-0-03-07-APEX-1802230-Lowering-Spring-Kit-35mm-/291005355229?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3AAccord+Tourer&hash=item43c14554dd

35-40mm drop. The best bang for buck mod you can do. The drive is transformed. Been running mine for 18 months now with no issues. Looks lots better. My wheels are only 17s, but the lowering really makes the wheels fill the arches better. Would look amazing on 18s.

Remember width has to be 225 for the above mentioned aspect ratios

Cheers guys, got a set of tyres today with the correct sizing for the car. Starting to look pretty good!

Handy hint, bank holidays are good for twisting the arm of various tyre suppliers for discount.
