7th 2.2 i-ctdi pre-facelift ecu and instrument cluster upgrade

Hey,

I was wandering if it's possible to upgrade my pre-facelift Accord (without board computer) with an ECU and instrument cluster from a facelift one? Is this upgrade possible, and if yes on what price? What should be my concerns if I try in that way. Or is there a way to take the board computer data from the OBD ? I tried several chineese readers for smartphones, but didn't work.

Hi,

I am sure someone with a bit more knowledge will be along soon and confirm my suspicion, but I can imagine it would be a very expensive job. As far as I am aware you would also need to change the ECU and possibly the wiring loom.

Unless anyone can correct me? I wouldn't say it is worth it. I have a pre-facelift 7th gen Accord too, and would love the trip computer, but there are bigger more productive things to spend my money on!
