ABS issue with 8th gen

I'm looking for some advice. I have an 8th gen 2014 accord. The front left brakes get very hot and the brakes get sticky.

The piston are moving freely. The pads and discs have been replaced on the front and I've had a new brake hose fitted to the front left.

There is still an issue as the wheel and brakes get very hot. Is this likely to be the ABS modulator value or another ABS issue?

I don't know if the brake fluid has ever been changed so guess that is probably not helping.

2014 plate. 2.2 diesel

I would personally replace the caliper and carrier. Have you ensured your slider pins are clean and smooth? The piston may be fine but if the pins aren’t moving properly then you’ll still get binding.

I never did thank you for the stage one remap you did. Completely different car now and much more fun to drive!

Yeah, the slider pins are all fine and moving freely. The caliper and carrier all seemed fine and clean eyc.

To me it seems that the problem must be somewhere 'up stream' from the brake hose that has just been replaced.

Do you know of any known faults with the ABS system or the modulator value or anything else that may be the issue?

No worries, hope she’s driving well.

I’m not aware of any modulator issues that would cause this. Any malfunctions with the modulator like solenoid failures would trigger an error..

I know you think that the calliper is fine but it’s still worth grabbing another one (even used) and swapping over to eliminate it.

I had lots of brake binding problems and replaced lots of parts that didn't solve the issue.
I eventually changed the brake fluid and haven't had an issue since.
Just a matter of time though I guess.
