Accord 04 - Sat Nav Upgrade?

Hi,

I brought a Honda Accord 04 exec Petrol with a standard 6 disc cd changer.

I was actually looking for one with the Sat Nav / DVD unit but got a really good deal on my car which didnt have the sat nav unit.

I thought i could upgrade my system in time, and after speaking with Honda about this, apparently its quite a big (and exensive) job.

Just wanted everyone elses throughts on this.

Is it worth me buying a second hand unit (they are going quite cheap £100)? and more importantly, is it a big job to change over?

Are you looking to gain Sat Nav, the sound system or both?

The sat Nav is a big job. Good luck getting one for 100quid. It got the a/c control too. I doubt you can get it done on the cheap. A bit late now but should have got one with it fitted.

get a tom-tom probably better than the Alpine anyway.

You would be better off getting an aftermarket stereo with sat nav, there was a post in the modding section about it

Oh really..i'll check that out.

I actually came across one going for £75 which is why i posted. Wanted to find out how much more i would need to invest in order to get it running.

Would i need some kind of conversion kit or something?
