Accord 2.2 i-CDTi turning over too quickly

Hi,

I got my first Accord about a month ago great car, love it but, we drove up to the lakes last week (240 mile round trip) and the car was making a knocking noise not far from home. The next morning I went out the start it and just turns over what sounds like it too quick or it has no compression.

I have basic mechanical knowledge but never worked on an Accord before. Any suggestions on what could be wrong with it would be great.

IF BOUGHT FROM A DEALER get on to him. sounds really expensive? is the engine turning over i.e is the crank pulley going round, if not it will be the starter motor pinion gear not engaging, if the pulley is rotating then are the injectors where they should be? if they are then afraid you have trouble with a capital T. Hope you find the cause

Broken chain.. I hope it's not.

Would not keep turning it and have it inspected for chain failure or anything else. Recommend having it trailored to the garage
