Accord CDTI with fault code p2004

Every now and then my engine warning light comes on but doesn't go into limp mode , on the fault code it's showing fault p2004 , anyone know what the fault is and what needs replacing

The fault Code is P2004. 178-09 "IMRC incorrect Position".

Does the car jerk or cut off on full throttle?

I had this issue when I used to full throttle it... And it used to jerk and it cut off twice. However, it was because I never had a genuine fuel filter fitted. Once I changed it to a genuine one (2 days ago) it was fine.

IMRC is well covered on here mate. If you have a facelift car you can get away with just changing the filter on the solenoid..

Thanks my car is a 2006 facelift model , is there any DIY sections explaining where the solenoid is and how to change the filter on it
