This is my first post so hello to you all, :)

I am in the market to purchase a Honda Accord diesel in the next few weeks/months. I have been leasing a Honda Civic for the past 3 years and have decided my next car must be another honda....and what better then an accord :D

Could someone please tell me if I am able to connect an mp3 player into the Accord. As I understand they don't come with a USB/3.5mm/bluetooth as standard. Is it easy setup/modify and how much would it cost?

Many thanks in advanced

Have a search for xcarlink and read some of the threads.

Or this:

Can anyone help point me to a guide which shows step by step instructions on installing a x car-link to a accord exec with nav?

Get your post count up to 5 and you should see the whole forum and there are then DIY's in there. It's a 40 minute job but for the satnav unit you need to get behind the unit to plug the xcarlink in.

Thanks can you provide me with a link?

also will it void any warranty? I have just purchased this approved car from a honda dealer

Welcome to accord world fella

I highly recommend the xcarlink. I followed the instructions and set it up myself. You can then use the car audio control buttons to change music on your ipod/iphone.

Hi I need someone's urgent help. I have followed the civinfo instructions (http://www.civinfo.com/wiki/index.php?***le=Install_Xcarlink_in_2007_Accord) for installing a xcarlink (usb/sd card model) and have tried testing it out but I am unable to get past the sat nav start up screen (none of the buttons work) if I have the xcarlink installed. If I disconnect the xcarlink the satnav/radio/cd work fine. I was thinking it might be that I need a y cable can anyone confirm? If a y cable isn't needed could it be just a dodgy xcarlink unit?
