So I have 5 years of lucky ownership with my accord.

I went a purchased a 2012 yeti approx 2 months ago, very low miles, 33k., all the service and got a what I thought was a fair price, all in all its cost me £8k as the cambelt needed doing.

I'm alittle regretting getting a diesel due the DPF and its EGR valve, and considering selling it before I get any issues, had the DPF light on twice but cleared after a good run.

got a trade in price over the phone of £6000 but could be more, so lets say £6500. a fair bit to loss in 2 months, may try price for £7000.

I do not know if im just scared or planning ahead,

I spent a few hours looking for what car I would buy if I sold the yeti.

good size family with a bit of power, 40 mpg, its hard to find anything

I know you cant tell me what to do but any advice would be welcome.

As you say it costs a lot to swap a car.

Another option might be to build up a fund of a grand or so over time and then when the DPF goes which might still be a while you'll be ready for it.

The Yeti is a decent car, built on the MK6 Golf platform which is very sound.

DPF and EGR issues are very common them, and easily solved. If the light has already been on then you need to budget for solving it mate.

I would keep it, they're totally reliable once these two issues are sorted.
