Air in the system?

Hi guys,

I had the rear discs and pads changed today. All went well, was told to pump the brakes before i drove off which i did. But im still finding that sometimes the brake pedal feels spongy and goes down when the car is running and handbrake feels loose too but when the engine is off and pump the brakes its back to normal again hard pedal and 3/4 clicks on the handbrake.

Any ideas? could it be air in the system???

you can try to bleed the brakes as this will help, if it comes about hard pedal when engine is off it's normal, you should be able to press pedal few times before you'll lost whole pressure from brake ***ist cylinder.

You shouldn't have got any air by just changing the pads bro, you didn't open the bleed nipple did you for any reason?

didnt mess about with the bleed nipple but i had the brakes bled and its back to normal, there was air in the system..
