So it is starting to warm up and the AC is not performing. Went to where it was last gassed up 4 months ago and was given the "Oh dear Guv that must be a pipe with a hole in it, expensive to trace , will need some time and then have to be regassed, my oh my thats gonna cost ya routine".
So not happy with that, off she went to Alwyns Autocare in Chorley who found the leak , fixed it, regassed it and all for £66 inc VAT.
Service with a smile, smile on my face.

I take it was the u bend pipe from the AC compressor? These are prone for leaking.

to be honest I do not know , was just glad to get it sorted, really feel the difference last few days.

Hi Mike where did you get that done? Similar problem happening to mine...

Good result. When the first place did the re-gas, they should use a gas with a die in it. Then when your air con stops working, they just shine a UV light under the bonnet and it highlights the leak straight away. Weld or replace problem part. Job done. With die in the system, diagnosis shouldn't be a hard task. Glad you got it all sorted buddy.
