alternator noise

Hello all
hope someone can help me.i have 2005 honda diesel 2.2 tourer.The alternator on it is making a very harsh noise and needs replacing.i have obtained a alternator from a civic 2.2 diesel 07 plate. it looks identical to mine will it be ok to fit?. lucas site list one alternator for 2.2 accord and civic.

I think its fairly safe to ***ume they are the same but I could be wrong. Match the part numbers and be sure.
