Hi folks, I’m trying to eliminate an issue on our project car (8th gen Accord Type S) where the cruise control doesn’t work in 6th gear. After quite a bit of fault finding and data logging (including a replacement clutch switch) I have a feeling it might be down to incorrect tyre sizes.
The car should be on factory calibrated 225/45 or 235/45 tyres but is on 245/40/18. Ordinarily I don’t think it would be an issue but a lot of my research is pointing to this being a possible cause.
If someone is local and has an 8th gen (doesn’t need to be a Type S) willing to spare a bit time for me swap the wheels over so I can eliminate, I would very much appreciate it. I’ll owe you a favour
